farmshooter
I doubt they would of botherd prosicuting him for the lead shot, if he hadnt of shot a swan as its a double offence, and also if he had shot a goose hed of proberly eaten it, the vet wouldnt of got involved so they would never of known. But wat a muppet shooting a swan lol FS
ossett_hunter
But why take it to a vet your just asking for trouble. Just get shut as soon as possible.
Bleeh
But why take it to a vet your just asking for trouble. Just get shut as soon as possible. It's called doing the Morally right thing, rather than looking after your own skin. That, or someone saw him.
rcooke25552
U would just shoot it again and bury it. Or is that just me??

Well it was on a game shoot, (fancy that ) so I'm guessing a few others would have seen him. Still find it hard to believe he couldn't recognise a ******* great swan. kent
nothing suprises me anymore i was once against compulsary hunter qualifications. what a good suggestion shoot it again and bury it- only needs one fool to do that and we are all going to be seen in the same light! rcooke25552
How many of you can honestly say that if you were out alone and accidentally shot and injured a swan, you would prolong it's sufferig and go to a vet? Or would you, as I would finish it off? An then the argument would you tell anyone?
poontang
According to the BBC we're a nation of Swan killers. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/wondermonkey/2011/05/shooting-swans---a-modern-tale.shtml What a load of cobblers from the beebs 'nature editor'. Or would you, as I would finish it off? An then the argument would you tell anyone? I can honestly say I would never shoot a swan in the first place. Seriously, how could anyone possibly mistake it for anything else? The swan in question was shot on a game shoot, so it would have been daylight and absolutely no excuse whatsoever. bobt
Have you seen people on some game shoots? I worry at times, as blackbirds get guns swung on them, fortunatly not shot at, as to the people saying it tastes like.... dont forget you are helping the antis. Guest cookoff013
actually £100 isnt far of a box of tungstens. shot calles TSS can be upto £5 a shell. that super heavy tungsten 18 is very expensive. its worth it for "ballistic superiority" on targets.
