Dunkield Posted April 5, 2006 Report Share Posted April 5, 2006 Yes I know you are in front of a PC, but what should you be doing when you are on here? I am almost always at work, as I have a T1 connection there and don't like using t'internet from home as it seems like a busmans holiday to me (unless I am viewing material I can't at work of course which doesn't leave much!) I use this forum, and others, like a break form my routine, just like smokers going off for ciggy - somewhere to go a bit for a bit of a social and a laugh, but my job involves constant PC use so that isn't a problem. From the recent thread on job types, a lot of you replied and have varied jobs that wouldn't normally involve PC use, so how do you find the time to post on here? Walk dogs etc. I sit in front of a PC all day anyway so noone knows what I'm up to, and as I am the manager it doesn't really matter. henry d Posted April 5, 2006 Report Share Posted April 5, 2006 99% home but occaisionally,lunchbreak etc at work.They have a Cyfin log which flags up every click on the internet and people have had trouble as theyve been surfing not working,which in the big scale of things is a bit harsh.However another guy in the early days of computers at our work 4-5 yrs ago was caught out using backdoor entrances to access porn sites as that was his only way round the controls.This has now meant I can`t even get attleborough acc,as it is classified as weapons......thay sell knives :< Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Axe Posted April 5, 2006 Report Share Posted April 5, 2006 When I arrive at work in the morning the PC loads up and I log in. Generally PW is left on all day and I glance accross it now and then. Then in the evening if not shooting or commandered by the wife for something i'll sit down on the sofa armed with my lap top and off we go again. I mainly use it at tea breaks and lunch but like now when everyone else has gone home I'll take a sneaky look.
