12g Cleaning Rods

Three Rods made of Oak,

1/2" Dia, Two 11" sections, & the Handle 12", making it 34" long when screwed together, without a PB Brush.

These are not stained, I've used a different process to enhance the grain, the pictures don't highlight this enough though.

5 X .243 Cases for the Joints, all with Double Brass Rivits,

Two of which I've fitted Brass Studs so they can all be screwed together.

A Brass Collar, & a 243 Case fitted on/in the Handle.

Thanks for the comments :good::blush:

I asked some advice on another forum concerning the thread for the PB Brushes/Mops etc, & you've guessed it, I got the wrong one......not a problem, it's only a rifle case & a bit time & effort.

So I need a 5/16" x 27 TPI Tap & Die...long shot.........anyone :):lol:

Soon as I get sorted with the Tap & Die I might make a few,

Thanks Again :good:

BJ.

I am now the proud owner of this rod. The photographs (even though they are good) do not do the piece justice.

And just to confirm, no it won't be used to clean a shotgun, but will be a good to show at 11's this coming season.

Good to meet you (again) and glad you got sorted!
