hendersons
Hi all I've been saving for a deer rifle for quite a while now. I think I have just about got enough money now. So I had a bit of a look in the shop today and I spotted a t3 in 6.5x55. So before I part with my hard earned I wondered if anybody wS using one or if anybody had used one but had no end of grief with it. Thanks again Nick
Redgum
Though I'm a Remmington fan and don't or never have owned a Tika I think you will get alot of thumbs up on here for the gun and calibre choice.
bindi
Hi mate I've had a tikka T3 laminate stainless in .223 1 in 8 twist for the last couple of years or so and it is brill. A very solid rifle that has never given a moments problem, and the bolt action is one of the smoothest i've come across after the Sauer 202. It is of course made in the Sako factory in Finland so quality of workmanship and finish is superb. 10 out of 10 for me. Rgds Mark

bullet boy
I've got a Tikka T3 Lite in .22-250 calibre and I love mine!Super smooth cocking and very accurate makes this a quality rifle. If I was to buy another CF rifle then it would certainly be another T3. You won't go wrong if you buy a T3!!
shotgun sam
t3 lite 223 great gun shoots well even over 500 yards
Dunkield
I don't think you can go far wrong with them, I am not a fan of Tikka plastic stocks (I have both for mine but it is the previous model) but that is purely personal a lot of them get sold and people are happy with them. The bonus is they just work without the need for aftermarket bits and pieces, they are accurate, reliable and have a detachable mag.
steve_b_wales
I use a T3 Lite in .243, and also owned the same in .308. Brilliant rifles in my opinion, and excellent value for money. Steve.
Grandalf
T3 White Hunter in 22/250 for fox. Wouldn't change it. Had it for years. Abused it. (I clean it regularly) Never let me down. Super bit of kit.
hendersons
Ok so it seems the rifle will be ok. Thanks for that guys the next question is does £650 seem a fair price?

hendersons
I just phoned the rfd and he says it's a standard t3 with synthetic stock.
garyb
Sounds a very good price if that's new?
hendersons
Yes it's new. I think he's struggling a bit at the moment so when he saw me he just offered it at that price. I think to try and get a bit of money coming in.

njc110381
Sorry I didn't pick up on this topic earlier. I had a T3 Laminate Stainless in 6.5x55 and it was a very functional gun. If I'm honest I didn't like the plastic mag but that's the only thing I'd put it down for. Positive points are it shot like a dream. Accurate, lovely crisp adjustable trigger, detachable mag. Pretty much a forst class gun that could cost a lot more money if it wasn't for that damn plastic! Phil has one. If you want to have a play with one before you buy I'm sure he wouldn't mind. That thing reallt is accurate, I can shoot three bullets through the same hole at 100 yards with it off of bags!
Clydebuilt
Another vote for the T3 Lites, functional, accurate and effective. Seems a good price, I have a .243 synth/satinless and a .270 synth/blued and they both came in new at around the £675 at the time. Bets trying the rifle stock for fit and see how you get on with it though.

al4x
neither does the sako equivalent, mostly the same but you get the metal bits and a nice stock but the price tag to match
Dekers
I have the T3 Lite in .223 and the T3 Hunter in .243. Never used a T3 in 6.5. From my point of view they are both more accurate than me, but the Hunter wins by a mile on feel/balance, especially if you have any thoughts of a moderator.
