Vipa
Slade is the real memory box song for me... I was 8 when that came out and so it evokes memories of when Christmas was really magical.. was also the year I woke up to a pile of pressies as tall as me in the living room, my metalic gold Raleigh Jeep bike, there was snow on the ground outside and I had polished off 2 selection boxes by 6am and was promptly sick!!! Also really like Chris Rea... Driving Home For Christmas.

englishman-in-wales
Fairytale of New York and a bit of 'shakie' merry christmas everyone for when i've had a few too many voddies..
Thunderbird
I detest that Slade song, and all the other ones the shops play constantly. 6 Music is playing quite a few 'alternative' Christmas songs at the moment, pretty good. the enigma
Hearing any of the traditional Christmas carols puts me in the right frame of mind for Christmas........ Hark the herald angels is my favourite. But of all the modern songs Jona Lewie's Stop the Cavalry would be my favourite.
