Frenchieboy
It would be interesting to know what calibre your air pistol is and how many ft/lbs it is turning out as well as what range you shot the rabbit at?

Beretta28g
Kevlar body armour would be more appropriate, even if not for the flack from here, but what happens if plod get called and see that, you could not tell the difference from a distance from a fullbore pistol.... You do need at least 4ft/lb of energy to cleanly kill a rabbit. Pistol is 6 max, and not many pistols do that.
Chavy
Its a .22 HW45. Not sure on the power yet need to check it. Just had a spring upgrade so packs a good punch. Rabbit was dropped at about 25 yards

lee-kinsman
Calibre is .22, legal limit for an air pistol is 6 ft/lbs so at a guess I would say the range was no more than 10 feet, especially for the grief that this thread could get.... FalconFN
Chavy, please make that your first and last rabbit with an air pistol. At best, you have shown no regard for your quarry and have little or no idea about appropriate tools for jobs. At worst, you have maimed and injured countless animals and you are in possesion of an illegal firearm. You need to have that pistol's power checked ASAP as you don't know what power it puts out, and you need to spend your days shooting targets and tin cans, not living creatures. Just my thoughts...to get the ball rolling.

Chavy
Sorry guys. Im not to good at working out distance so may have been alot closer. This was a complete fluke shot. Just saw the chance and took it.
magman
Great pistol for around fisheries on rats at close range but a Rabbit at 25 yrds  If you don't no that's over 75 ft
FalconFN
Sorry guys. Im not to good at working out distance so may have been alot closer. This was a complete fluke shot. Just saw the chance and took it. God, that's worse. An expert marksman and an egle eye for rangefinding taking a shot with an underpowered pistol is one thing but a suck-it-and-see pot-shot is quite another.
