Novice
Hi Novice, Must admit I had to google what that Heym was but looks great! And everyone needs a pump or 2 I have 2 in my cabinet, Browning BPS (nice gun) and Benelli Supernova (working gun) and I might well have got a Winchester Model 12 on the way Scrummy Yes, the sr40 normally gets folk scratching their heads. A long time out of production, but a true small calibre action. I imagine I would get a rebarrel if accuracy ever dropped off. The value is in the action I guess. Scrumbag
Your SR40: Is it a .22lr?
Novice
.222 By small calibre I meant true to calibre, in proportion. In contact with, say, the tikka t3. which I understand uses a standard log action, regardless of calibre.
theshootist
There is a cased Model 42 in a gun shop in Workington; owned by the proprietor and not for sale, unfortunately. Not Lakeland Guns, but the one further on from there. I haven't been in there for years and can't recall its name. Ah thats a pity. There is a .410 Remington Wingmaster on guntrader. Scrumbag
Ah thats a pity. There is a .410 Remington Wingmaster on guntrader. I'm always amazed at the difference in quality between a Wingmaster and the new Express versions. Also the semi-autos I think. A friend of mine has an 1100 and it is beautiful. Opossum
Got an 1100 and Wingmaster and theyre both quality guns. Not as good as the Ithaca but just as functional in the field. Just waiting for my gunwatch account to be activated so I can list the Wingmaster

Scrumbag
Well, it's ok. You can always lol for something else later if you change your mind. Makes it fun after all. There are times when I debate selling my supernova
theshootist
The Holts sealed bid auction ends next week and there are three Winchester Model 12s in the FAC shotgun section (as well as two very nice browning/FN auto 5s in the s2 single barrel section). Just saying!

impala59
Looking forward to it, hope we get a good number, maybe should put it in the events thread? Been thinking about trophy, I bought a smallish keeper trophy that just about represents a pump gun, engraved with CHAMPION 2017 under PWPC logo. Also dredged thru bits a bobs and have made an annual trophy from an old Savage 30 pump gun stock which was cracked and water damaged with no butt plate or cap and which we can attach the winners PW name to, and which can be defended the next year. I made up PWPC logo's for cap and butt plate and in honour of the date of the first competition thought we could call it the Pigeon Watch Pump Club Trench Gun Trophy. Or not, up to you guys. Some pics as put together prior to Danish oiling, hope you all approve

CaptainBeaky
Today, I welded 'Enry's action bar back together, and added a reinforcing plate, to hopefully avoid a repeat breakage...
