TIGHTCHOKE
I see I didn't go for several reasons; 1. Working both days. 2. Been out shooting 4 times this week. 3. As was said before - £17:50 to walk round an indoor market. 4. not sure I need any more kit!
nate78
never again!!! went to the show when it was in newark and enjoyed it, about half a mile from the show at stoneleigh we hit traffic, took over an hour to make it onto the ground then had to walk half hour to the event, the parking attendants didnt seem to know their **** from their elbow, as we walked towards the main entrance there wasnt any signs to guide you, inside was another kind of hell, too many people, trying to move from one hall to the next was impossible, couldnt get to see any of the stalls, the carpets were a trip hazard, one was being ripped up from under peoples feet as they tried to move around, at one point it just looked like a mass of people standing together rather than walking around, if ever there was a fire people would of got hurt if not killed,
Elmer Fudd.
I went and wish I hadn't bothered. For £17.50 entrance I couldn't get to see much as it was absolutley rammed solid like sardines in a can. Only thing that caught my eye was a Colt Peacemaker with a case hardened action, but at £370 I put it back. Doubt if I'll bother next year. kev56
Just got back, 200 mile round trip for me not too bad. Getting into the ground was so badly organized it took over an hour to travel the last 3/4 mile and then over an hour in the queue to pay to get in, just one poxy pay isle. The organisers totally underestimated the amount of people attending. Lots of gear inside to cater for all tastes, but it was more like being at at a football match shuffling around. The venue needed to be twice the size with 10 times the amount of pay entrances. Still i got a few bits i wanted cheapish. Certainly wont go again. contrysports
i enjoyed it at Newark to be fair had ago at the 50 bird sporter but did very badly, some of the clays i could not even see. but still enjoyed it and in my opinion Newark was worth the £17.50 entry fee but this sound like chaos. with a bit of luck they might change it again some where closer! V8 90
Glad I went as I wanted to see & play with the new Pulsar Digi NV stuff - well worth it ! Met a couple of guys off here & BBS which was good. BUT - The organisation (or lack of) was pathetic ! Needless queues for miles - numptys directing traffic & they were only in the actual parking areas - no signage to the main event area from the car parks - 1 entrance for card payments & 1 for cash - far to many people inside (as others have said) Edited February 9, 2013 by V8

steve_b_wales
I've just got back in after a 270 mile round trip. We paid in advance for our tickets. Got near the ground at 08.30 and took approx 15 minutes to park our car. Another 5 minute walk, and we were into the show. Good stuff on sale, and some good bargains off Paul Hart. It did get a bit crowded later on in the afternoon, but we still enjoyed the show, and will consider going again next year, if it's held an Stoneleigh again. flynny
I had family commitments at the last minute, so couldn't go(I hope my mates managed to sell my ticket down there) sounds like I was saved from a nightmare. I can't be doing with the hassle of crowds I won't even go shopping with the wife unless I really have too, at least game fairs are outside and you can make yourself some room, Atb flynny Edited February 9, 2013 by flynny
Cavey
went to newark last year, great venue, was looking forward to the show was shopping for a .243 came home empty handed drove 72miles in an hour and 10 last mile over an hour. was glad i ad not paid for priority parking as we were all in the same car park together 45 mins queue to get in. hall 1 was like being at the rugby at twickenham gamekeeping hall was emptier, no heating in there perhaps or no shiny rifles and shotguns for airsoft players to droll over, whilst serious buyers cant get to the stock, waited 15 mins for a member of staff senior enough to unlock the rack. Gave up, 2 out of my car were in the market for guns with cash and licences in pocket, both emptied handed feel sorry for the retailers and other buyers good day spoilt, either back to newark or nec or stay at home.
