as title not fantastic but not bad either, i was invited to shoot on a end of season roost with a friend, all the woods were staked out we went to ours a only handfull of birds were knocking about nearby, but thousands in area very little wind was gonna make it harder than usual, it was slow going but could hear shots ringing out all over the place and it wasn,t really sending birds our way, but we stuck it out till nearly dark and ended with 16 woodies a maggy and a rook.

In most peoples books 16 pigeons plus various on a still evening would be considered to be very good.

i agree not complaining it was just a bit frustrating because hundreds past over us very high, and with a wind it would of brought them over a bit lower and channeled them in to the wood instead of flying over out of range :good:
