Guest stevo
evening all , well all last week I have been planning a day on the fields pigeon shooting So............ yesterday morning I got up and drove out to my shoot ( BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE LINCOLNSHIRE WOODPIGEON SYNDICATE MASSIVE ) I got there about 6.45 am , I wanted to go have a look about Friday afternoon but what with one thing and another I never got chance , anyway had a look at some fresh drillings first while having a cuppa, but there wanst much happening to be honest , I could see a few birds flighting in the distance but nothing coming my way , so I had a drive round to the other side from where they seemed to be coming from, and came across a Bean stubble field .So thought this will do just nice. set my hide up in some Hawthorne , put the magnet with two dead birds on out about 20-25 yrds , I just make a pattern as I go along with the birds I shoot . anyhow went back to my hide poured myself a cuppa and waited . ( not for long ) I was using my hatsan PS and Fiocchi PL28 and PL30 , which I have to say the pl28 were fantastic , hard hitting and very fast ! will be getting myself a load more soon . well turned out to be a good spot , I ended up with 120 shot picked up 116 in the end , however I had to stop at 3 pm because I would get anymore in the back of the car , I only had a little fiesta haha , the birds were still coming in to my pattern as I was packing away after looking at this pick I thought hmmm thought there was more than that , had a look on the tally counter , as pointed out at the time ,This is were you need a dog Stevo haha Cheers trev . so I had another look and picked up another 16 haha , anyway got home and laid them all out in garage for the night to let them cool down all in all great day , cartridges and gun were faultless . total of 176 carts fired and NOT one Jam :-) kind regards stevo Edited October 6, 2013 by stevo

JDog
Good going stevo. Bean stubbles are ploughed in too quickly in most areas. Yours will be gone this week I suspect.

motty
They'll still keep showing on the surface for a while though They certainly do. I shot on a field today that had been drilled with wheat a week ago - still plenty of beans on the surface. Great bag, Stevo!
