Excellent as usual - like the groundcam. Those ducks looked a long way away but the camera is deceptive - 35 yds?

look forward to the next one !

Thanks. The ducks were about 35 yards on the 1st fly round and 45-60 yards plus thereafter. It's surprising the distance they can be killed at though I didn't attempt anything over 45 the risk of wounding is too great.

A nice honest video with lots of misses not edited out.

I still cannot understand why you send your dog to retrieve whilst a drive is still in progress.

Only did this when I thought it was quiet but missed a couple of good birds doing so. It's a mistake and encourages him to run in so not something I am going to repeat

Very good video, enjoyed watching it! Is it the HD3 you've got on your head? Meant to ask what setting do you prefer to use? I'm currently using 720:60fps a lot.

Can't say you've sold me on the RC steel. Although the 3' Gamebore stuff that I use might be a bit too pokey for a driven shoot!

It was Go Pro 3 for the first drive and then a Go Pro 2 thereafter ( the go pro 3 keeps letting me down) I use 1080 25fps. I cannot blame the cartridges on this occasion but generally not a fan of steel, it doesn't seem to bring them down like the lead used to.

Cheers! I can't say I noticed a huge difference between the two cameras whilst watching it. I'm hoping theres a 4th version coming out soon. One other question is what is the battery life like on the 3? I only get 2 hours out of my hd2! The camera angle on the first video was good though! did you attach it to the peg?

I would generally say that steel lacks the punch/knock down effect that lead has but it's not like we get much option!

Nice to see a properly run shoot there mate...seen a few vids on here recently that I would have packed my gun up and walked off looking at how some people have shot thru the line or guns swinging thru other shooters..

Well done and cracking dog!!!

Thanks - your right its nice to be able to relax on a shoot, one of the benefits of shooting with the same team of guns. We will shoot over each others head by prior agreement on certain drives but as you say the risks some people take with guns swinging through is unbelievable.

Great to have you back again always look forward to your films. I think you were taking them earlier last year, it's a minor timing issue, you'll get your form back next outing I'm sure. Rob's looking well.

Thanks -Switchng targets, trying to work the dog at the same time as shooting and taking them a little late - all easy to solve though

The Go Pro 2 is great , battery lasts all day ( on a driven shoot that's about 2 hours and I carry a spare battery in case) only downfall is in low light conditions. The Go Pro 3 has a better picture in low light, is much smaller and you don't notice in your head but the battery life is terrible. I have to carry a portable usb charger with me and charge after every drive. The GoPro 3 has stopped recording or shown to be recording but not and let me down several times. If I had to choose one I would go for the Go Pro 2 every time. Agree entirely on the steel but as you say there is no option and unless we are careful it will be our only option for ALL game shooting.
