JAT
When I first came across these cartridges, back in the 70's, the wadding used was sections of Pravda Newspapers.
Floating Chamber
And about three of the pellets will actually be spherical So? NONE of the pellets (lead) from shells will be exactly spherical after their journey through the forcing cones, barrel and choke.

BaikalsRule90
So? NONE of the pellets (lead) from shells will be exactly spherical after their journey through the forcing cones, barrel and choke. ok "about 3" was probably a bit harsh. but it was a joke. however if a pellet is a random shape to begin with it doesnt have much hope! pestcontrol1
ok "about 3" was probably a bit harsh. but it was a joke. however if a pellet is a random shape to begin with it doesnt have much hope! I shot about 3000 28g shells afew years ago that a mate made up for me and he made his own shot and every one he made for me was tear drop shape and it din"t make one bit of difference to pattern or the killing infact they killed bloody well

Penelope
I have been reading very dirty cartridge , loud and impressive flash , but are they good for anything ? No4 bit big on pigeons , would they be any good for foxes ? Yes, out to about 1,000 yds, just a bit further than the flame will travel, so no need for a lamp. Will be trying then in my Baikal SxS IJ-58MAE Good, about the only thing strong enough, except the T24 that the cartridges were originally made for.
