Longbower
Its frustrating isn't it.Recently, I had one berk , refer to me as 'are you aright there fella'. To which I advised him he had just lost his sale, and I promptly left.

aris
Too right - and the worst thing is they get away with it. The only way to 'fix' this attitude is to name and shame - and use sites like trustpilot to vent your poor experience.
Cosd
Ordered some new juice for my electronic cigarette yesterday 1pm, free 2nd class post or £1'something for 1st class option. Opted for 2nd as they are always very good and was surprised today when I got it first thing this morning There are exceptions to the rule and for me these companies stand out! Fisherman Mike
Ahh the Joys of online shopping.... If I want to buy something I go and get it....fool proof...! No wonder all these shops are closing down. I have sympathy for you though...no one cares anymore.
39TDS
I find that 99% of the time items ordered via the internet arrive very quickly. Most people give exceptional service and when things do go wrong they sort it very quickly. Recently I had dealings with Solware ltd. Ordered direct off their website and they sent the wrong item, smaller than what I ordered. Having returned that, they then sent one a size bigger than I ordered, too big. I spoke to them again via their 0845 number which is not free on my mobile and they said they do stock the size I ordered and would send one out. Nothing appeared so eventually I called them again to be told they don't stock that size. I would usually just curse under my breath and vow never to use them again. What got to me was the fact that they enclosed a slip with the second wrong item asking me to nominate them for a "Gunshop of the year" award. Erm no. You muppets! It would have been cheaper to throw a tenner in the fire and at least i would have got some heat out of it.

owo1-man
Name and Shame, Ok then ZiZI's Italian eatery in Chelmsford. Went there on the 23rd March for a Birthday meal, had booked a table for 11 and arrived to find no one knew about it, good start, hardly got in a seat and would sir like a drink? no actually sir would like a menu, it did not arrive until we again got badgered for a drink. Arrived at 16:00 and did not get anything to eat until 17:10, 70 mins after we got there, not good, some of the group had to leave early due to prior engagements and did not even get to the pud and coffee, waitress kept vanishing when asked for anything but would then return and ask if we wanted anything. Complaint been with there Head Office for 10 days now and phone calls and emails back and forth even offered us £40 of vouchers, did they think we would go back, I think not. Avoid this company like the plague, you have been warned.
aris
I had a bad experience with JS Ramsbottom. They are fine until you have to return faulty goods. Distance selling regs say they are to pay the return postage - but they lie to wiggle their way out of it. You have to wonder why these companies do it. Ok, so they maybe lose out in the short term, but in the long run good customer service brings more custom. In my case - I will never use them again, nor recommend anyone does - this is after having spent 100's of pounds with them in the past. All over a tenner. Bonkers attitude. rimfire4969
It is strange how so companies can do things well and some don't care. A good one is the retail online shop of Next. Order before 10pm and get next day delivery for £4:00, if something is not right send it back foc for credit or exchange. We have never been let down and the service has come to my rescue before now. I have nothing to do with Next, but if the wife can get her and the kids clothes hassle free on line I don't have to go shopping. Which is very good for my marriage. BattleFieldRelics
I decided to get a tescos credit card as I shop there. You can earn club card points on transactions. (Been with barclaycard 17years and earn nothing for my loyalty) Cut a very long dull story short Tesco credit card services are not interested in customers spoke to 2 different agents and their attitude was really bad especially keeping in mind how much I spend at tescos a year! They said they would ring me back Saturday morning and I'm still waiting for the call....... Wouldnt recommend dealing with Tescos at all. With this in mind I went to waitrose and saw they are doing £75 off online shopping. So this monday I ordered online. Shopping arrived promptly in the Tuesday slot I selected. When I unpacked the raw chicken had been placed in the same bag as my fruit. I made a phone call, they were very polite and apologetic and within an hour my fruit order had been re-delivered along with a £10 voucher for the inconvenience! So totally different experience to Tescos. I've now applied for a waitrose credit card and as soon as its here I'll be cancelling the Tescos card. Jaymo
In reply to a post above, one thing that gets me going is when referred to as "mate, bud or fella" whilst being addressed by a sale member. I use Sir or Madam for everybody except where a 'Name Tag' is clearly displayed for the very purpose of introductions. If you wish to Name and shame I have many but am still reeling from a certain firearms security manufacturer who didn't meet either his legal or moral duties. When pressed he had the audacity to say on the phone- having had to chase the guy for many things, that he would and did delay sending items and partial refund as he didn't like my tone... All I had done was question why I had not received what was agreed, my refund and my invoice ( still not got that one after two months). This was done via email, text and a traditional voice call. This company was extremely quick to reply to any questions before the sale but the follow up customer service was abysmal. And so I didn't feel it unreasonable that after three days of not getting a reply to ask again, with further failed responses I worded these correspondences a little firmer. Now, he is poss a vendor on here? I don't know, hence the details above are sketchy but what I can say is that anyone I meet who brings up this companies name to me, I would heartily recommend they steer clear So, to come full circle----- WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE............. Ps, wrong side of yet another hotel bed
Davyo
I dont know why these companies give options of postal timescales, considering they are relying on royal mail or couriers to deliver. Its the same with a well known decoy company who I fancies some gear off, their delivery charges are way above anyone elses. But the comments latley on this site and others re delivery and contact have steered me away.As others have said I now go and get items after trying to find them local. Its the same with RDF costs, they vary so much and can add as much as an additional £50 to your purchase.(they know they have you by the short and curlies)I now if within reasonable milage, go and collect. Dougy
If you're not happy with delivery times, specially if they promised a delivery date then you are within your rights to cancel your order. Regardless of there excuses, they have a contract with you to deliver as they say. Its up to the buyer's to take the false promises on the chin and put up with it or tell the company to shove the order and get a refund. They either want your money's or they don't, simples. Would you expect the same service from Currys or Tescos
newarcher
so folks so interesting replies so far ,my wife says why us when something goes wrong with a promised delivery,my reply its not just us ,its thousands of people every day that this poor service is happening to. from today I name and shame, so any company watching get it wrong and you lose my custom, get it right and you have a customer for life ,its not rocket science .and companies if your courier service is letting you down change it !at the same time lets name the ones who go the extra mile to satisfy their customers Edited April 2, 2014 by newarcher

Sha Bu Le
Wife went to Tesco to buy a Hudl tablet after her Asus died after 4 months. Money refunded by Argos no problems there. Anyhoos after getting her groceries she had a look at the Hudle, neat enough bit of kit so she decided to buy one using her refund from Argos. Hudl was a fair bit cheaper at £119, gets to the counter and the guy checks it out but has not yet pressed GO on the till. Wife says "can I use my Tesco club card for this" "sure no problem and If I use that general till over there its another £10 discount" Turns out it was also a double points day. So long story short she walked out with a £119 device for £76 well chuffed she was. So well done the Tesco guy.
smokinggun
Worst service I ever had was the stuck up blokes at sporting targets gunshop Bedford, I had called a few days earlier to reserve a air rifle from a very helpful lady, I arrived and queued up behind a man buying a shotgun, after about a 10 minute wait another man came in and queued behind me, it was now my turn and the man serving said what are you after so I said to collect the air rifle I reserved, he then asked the man behind me what he wanted and he said to look at the Beretta shotgun in the rack so the worker said okay ill serve you first, I was gobsmacked I couldn't believe the service, the other lazy bloke was just talking to someone he knew about life etc as he had done since I walked in, I always tell people to stay away from there. owo1-man
After 2 weeks of complaint and counter argument ZiZi's "fine" Italian eatery Chelmsford have refunded the complete amount spent at my birthday bash, hard work dealing with their "service dept" but never give up if you have been scat on by a major company. Still would not advise anyone to dine there as the service is dire to say the least.
