Easter Bunnies

A couple of videos from the weekend.

Picked up a new perm where they had never been shot so I thought I would do a video for the first few outings.

Ended up with 84 for eight hours out, in some poor weather and gusting winds up to 18 mph.

Shots ranging from just over 30 yards to just under 180.

Restricted to the HMR for most of it as the horses got nervous around the .223, and the ground was solid until it pi##ed down so the .22lr was out for the first visit, and no night shooting allowed yet.

well done that man

it also proves a point raised in another thread where someone asked if you shoot them as they come out and was told by some that they would not stay out if they see their fallen mates ( other dead rabbits ) as it certainly didn't put those off

thank colin

Thanks for all the comments guys. Very much appreciated.

26 out of 33 shots i would,ve hit 6 out of 133 shots,nice shooting m8

I shot 33 but only managed to pick up 26 as the others were either in thick nettles or had fallen back down the hole.

Not showing off but I only missed 5 times in all on that vid, two where I hit the fence, one deflected of a branch and two where I got the range wrong, but it's easy when they come close to you, and where you keep the range within your own capability.

In my experience they keep coming out until they learn what the bang means. They even learn to associate a vehicle, or the sound of a diesel engine, with danger after a while.

The trick is not to miss, the same as for foxes.

April is always a good month for bunnies as the young ones come out as well and just sit there as they don't know what the danger is.
