AberFowl
Just wondering how many on here are local to me and foreshore addicts?? I don't know any other fowlers in the area! Know of a few inland goose shooters but no true fowlers Be interesting to know where you go and your average bags (I am not looking for specific locations on marsh/estuary) I am hoping to do more around Inverness area this season Main haunts are the well known findhorn, and 2 small estuary's in Aberdeenshire Edited July 27, 2014 by AberFowl
sako751sg
Far from an addict but do go to the Ythan now and again.Usually good for a goose and a duck or two.
AberFowl
The ythan is my local! Are you a member of the club that is now controlling shooting from the inner grass bank there?
Whytie2697
I am pretty regular in the findhorn area work permitting like anywhere some seasons are better than others but you do get a few ducks/geese
greenshank1
When I lived on the Black Isle there were a lot of wildfowling done at Munlochy Bay . The Black Isle Wildfowling Club manage the permits I think . They had a stall at Moy Game Fair a few years ago when I was there and were giving people a chance to fire the big bore guns , seemed like a friendly bunch. shakin stevens
shot munlochy a few times over the past 8 years, rented a cottage bang next to the bay down a track lined with beach trees, spent two Christmas breaks in the place snowed in! i like wildfowling up that way spend 5 weeks a year in different spots a lot of shooting pressure still the same, especially at night when the geese are coming home. Kev Yes but they don't reply to emails, worth contacting basc , would require a map to see the areas controlled by the club. Dave 197 Posted Wednesday at 12:25 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 12:25 Thought I'd quote correspondence from basc feb25 ,"You can still shoot below high water marks, no permits required."
