Have tried a couple of supersonic rounds down it and not found anything it likes. Could I ask people to list supersonics they use please? 1066 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 I feel, if you're going to shoot HV ammo in the LR you would have been better to stick with the HMR. sixhills 69 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 I use Remington yellow jackets or cci stingers butch kill at 100+yards they have a higher point of aim to a subsonic round so you will need to re zero your scope not the subsonic settings and you can dial it back to original zero. welshwarrior Posted September 8, 2014 Report Share Posted September 8, 2014 If you want accurate 22 high velocity rounds get a WMR. I've tended to find when playing with them the gain the high velocity gives in range it takes away in accuracy. Just to clarify, wife has started uni so its cut back finance city for next few years. Had to sell HMR as was basically new and lot of £££ in me safe. I use subs all day long out to 100-110 go further if I bothered to use a range finder they will group an inch or near enough at 100yds which is good enough for anything I shoot its rare that I need to stretch to that to be honest but 40-90yds is the norm I have a .17M2 as well though that is what the .22lr HV should have been! I chest shot a hare at around 110-115yds the other day and it just flopped sideways, where it stood. no exit, minimal damage shot a 3/4 sized bunny at similar range and pulled it slightly entering just rear of where it should similarly no exit, had to search for an entry! marvellous calibre! welshwarrior Posted September 10, 2014 Report Share Posted September 10, 2014 40-70 that's well within subs range, just learn the drop of your rifle to get your hold points and you can extend that with some practise to 120 yards, but you'll need to practice with the rifle and ammo but also distance judging.
