Scully
We'll be out on our rough shoot; five members and about five guests I think, up to now. We'll be after pheasant, duck, woodcock, pigeon, corvids and snipe, and if the odd rabbit makes a run for it, that also. No hares though. Have a good day everyone, and a happy new year. Scully
Got in about half an hour ago, all of us thoroughly wet through but all of us still smiling and laughing. Have no idea where all the birds have gone; we made a point of getting into all our little nooks and crannies but they simply weren't where we thought they would be, sheltering from the driving rain and wind. Nevermind. We only shot 8 but had a cracking day all the same. We were meant to be shooting this coming Saturday, but last Sunday the landowner says 'we'll shoot new years day; it's a better forecast'. So everyone changed their plans and we did as he suggested. ****** down all day, but Saturday looks like being a good day. Saw 3 roe does and 1 buck, so if they weather picks up we may have a day out after them.
