Columba Grey
Hi anyone got any advice on AirPro spinning wings on full body decoy . I bought them recently and they won't spin. I've tried them on the full bodied deeks supplied and placed on the magnet... Not a movement from the wings?
ditchman
They are 150% pure and utter rubbish..........bought a pair at great expense a couple of years ago.......would not spin.....they are not balanced properly....and you can do precious little to rectify it............... Columba Grey
Thanks Ditchnan ....I was afraid I was going to get a reply like that! May have to create flexible wings myself then or simply put it down to experience.
la bala
I must say i bought some when they first came out and the wings worked fine, but they made a whirring noise like a propeller and the body looked a cross between a Blue Rock and a Dove, I binned them, there is no substitute for a dead bird. kitchrat
I must say i bought some when they first came out and the wings worked fine, but they made a whirring noise like a propeller and the body looked a cross between a Blue Rock and a Dove, I binned them, there is no substitute for a dead bird. Same here, the noise was bad AND they didn't seem to pull any birds!!
oowee
I got them spinning but after a trip they fell to bits in the truck.
fenboy
I had some they soon went in the bin , total rubbish and the noise drove me nuts. If yours are not spinning check that the wing edges are not too tight against the decoys body .
Breastman
As above, they're not very good. They don't work in mild wind and once it gets stronger the noise they make is ridiculous. You can get them working in lighter winds by putting them on bouncer poles but they're so heavy they often turn over
malkiserow
Bin them right now. Use dead birds or hyperflappers.
mossy835
dont waist your money on them.
ditchman
i bought them cause the video looked good.........i think the idea was sort of sound...and maybe the first ones made (in the uk ?) may have been ok...then they were made overseas and were rubbish...........the bodies were very heavy and would not stay in the right position on the magnet......and the wings were not balanced...they didnt work anything like they did on the sales video.... dead eye alan
Gimmics and gizmos don't usually work too well, dead birds are the way, brest them out and keep in fridge, or freeze. The plus is their free!
HIDENSEEK
I tried them without much success, both on magnet & bouncer.Binned the wings & just use the decoy as a lofter occassionaly, better than nowt.

lakeside1000
I bought 2 off the Bay, they will spin OK but the noise was spooking the birds as they came in, I have now dumped the wings and just use the full bodied decoys , if you are looking for a pair for the rotary magnet give 'Hypa flap' a look, I have a pair which look so real I had a member of the public run onto the field thinking I was using live birds, she left even quicker with a right mouthful from the farmer who happened to be in the hide with me, I would never use that sort of language, Anyway Hypa flaps are about £20 a piece , I've had mine over 2 years and they get well used, the only thing they dont like is wind speeds above 15 mph , the wings tend to twist up but other than that they really do look good.but given the choice I will always say use dead birds, fresher the better, they don't need to flap twitch or shake ,they work just great gliding around.
