Now, I'm retired LOL, took early retirement when I was 50 :)

Before that travelled the world and done most jobs going.

Been a farm hand, a welder, a computer soft and hardware engineer, a spark erosion engineer, a bearing, chain, and oil seal specialist, a sprayer, a production worker, a truck driver, a soldier, a sales engineer, a managing director, a bus driver, a driving instructor, a technical diving instructor, a forklift driver, a plumbers mate, a coalman, a breadman, etc, etc, etc

I did any job that was going as I moved around the world. Some of which I was very good at, some just mediocre, but as long as it earned a crust, I did it.

People who say "there are no jobs going" are lying. There are always jobs, it all depends on whether you're willing to do them LOL

Past life has included soldiering (infantry), then over 20 years as a chartered civil engineer working world-wide on water supply, river and canal engineering, including posts at very senior levels here in the UK. Now re-trained in acoustic physics and electronics (it's never too late to learn something new) and run my own specialist business designing, building or refurbishing hifi speakers for enthusiasts who like old vintage Tannoys, JBLs, Impulse horns as well as design and building my own creations. It won't ever make me rich but helps keep me sane and has taught me new technical and trade skills. I like a challenge and have made a few for myself over the years!

TV and commercial cameraman. You would of seen some of my adverts on TV and possibly documentarys I shot for BBC1 and discovery.

Mate of mine was a tv cameraman years ago, he filmed the documentary when they found a new tomb whilst building the new reservoir in Egypt(?) (The one when they flooded the river , the land slipped and revealed the tomb?)

He reckoned digital would never take over from film so didn't upgrade equipment and knowledge. He didn't last long !

I used to do something like that but on a much smaller scale, our iron furnace only held a quarter tonne. we used to over heat the brass on occaision to make zinc snow :whistling:

I used to work in the laboratory at Cattons,Leeds, taking and analysing core samples from the arc furnaces and calculating the additions to make. 11 minutes work twice an hour,,,,it was all go I tell you !!
