Whilst I genuinely hope he recovers his lost pet you have to admit, and he had to expect, the odd bit of mickey taking on a forum that is largely devoted to people who like shooting birds. KFC
Stand beneath the tree. Hold out your right hand (or left if you're left handed) and quietly say "Here boy".
happypig
Stand beneath the tree. Hold out your right hand (or left if you're left handed) and quietly say "Here boy". It's a cockatiel not a dog..... Surely "who's a pretty boy then" would work far better!

HH1
In situations like this it is worth posting on your town's FaceBook group asking people to keep an eye out. It has worked in my town when someone lost their pet Barn Owl. My father was the Head bird keeper at a major zoo.... I've grown up around birds. Some species are easier to coheres back down with food than others..... Might need to put the cage in the garden with food inside and use some fishing line to pull the door shut once inside. I hope you get her/him back.
