walshie
On Friday the wife tasked me with getting her a trout for a BBQ we were having that evening. First cast, a rudd. Second cast, just a nibble. Third cast...this! Well pleased. It put up a great fight. felt more like 5lb than the 2lb it really was. walshie
Did you catch it like a gentleman with a fly or like a savage with a worm? Savage. But not with a worm. I only had bread and my mate assured me it would work.

Penelope
Best trout bait in the world! They used to plague me when trying for big roach with flake and mash on the upper Kennet and middle Test. Savage. But not with a worm. I only had bread and my mate assured me it would work.
walshie
Thought I'd give it a go with a spinner this evening. Caught one about a pound. Lost a couple of tiddlers, then saw this nice one following the spinner. Eventually she took it. About 2lb I'd say. My next cast hooked this clonker. I thought I'd hooked a passing submarine. Took a fair few minutes to land, but still only about 3lb. Maybe a fraction over, but great fun. Edited July 25, 2016 by walshie
