CaptainBeaky
Saw this in this morning's Metro. Except they referred to it as an "antique-style weapon"...
Lord Geordie
Hoorah! It's about time they handed out a DECENT sentence! It's just a shame, that due to her stupidity! Her child also has to suffer :(
bluesj
Shame they couldn't get the bloke she was holding it for! It doesn't look like it was a prohibited weapon so I think that was a pretty good sentence Edited December 7, 2016 by bluesj
Penelope
I expect with a mother like that the child would have suffered anyway. May well be better off in care, fostered or adopted. ferguson_tom
Seeing that picture reminds me of a story my dad told me when he was a police officer. Someone was being arrested for the theft of a pair of purdeys which had been cut down and sold on. During the arrest the crook was called a **** by the copper. The defendants lawyer got up in court and started saying how wrong it was for the police officer to call this scrote bag a womans lady garden at which point the judge (and obviously a shooting man) leans over his bench drops his glasses and says "you have to be some sort of **** to ruin a pair of purdeys so i suggest you stop wasting my time and get to the point." Vince Green
I've got no sympathy for her at all. I don't believe her story either, £65 seems an odd amount to arrive at. She would almost certainly have been living in one of the high rise blocks from where the gun could be retrieved at a moments notice if required. Why did the police raid her flat? Obviously more to this story. Edited December 7, 2016 by Vince Green
Gordon R
She got justice. It's a shame that others of her ilk don't receive the same.
