TaxiDriver
I thought he ONLY kicked his OWN doors! And what do you suppose he does when he runs out of doors .

Wilts#Dave
UPDATE Took all day to hang one but I have and it opens and closes so at the very least I can now have a dump in peace and quiet! Had no internal doors since Christmas, I'd say it's progress. Hopefully the remaining six will see incremental speed increase but right now feeling super chuffed with myself Might build an oak framed house next... Blimey, you can't value your time much if it took a whole day for one door! Im a sparky and like to have a go at most things diy if I can do them to a good standard.....but if it was to take me all day to hang the one door I may as well go to work and pay a chippy to hang all of them! Good on you for trying though, it is satisfying doing things yourself. Edited June 14, 2017 by Wilts#Dave
Old farrier
Good on you well done for having a go Ignore the rabble and naysayers 😉 It's your day your not earning so you're saving money not spending So crack on and do some more 👍 Pictures would be good Only tip I can give (useless at woodwork) is get a few wedges to put under the door to hold it square when you're fixing it Best of luck Of
digger
I hang a lot of doors, all in existing frames. Best tool is called a winbag, an inflatable rubber bag.placed under the door and inflated by foot. Hanging a square door in a frame the same would be bliss ! Wouldn't that just be so easy, hate it unless i have done it new with lining, dont know if old linings have just moved over time or muppets fitted them. The Mighty Prawn
Sorry gang I've tried on a tablet and desktop to upload a picture but it seems photobucket is as friendly as Burnley Dave and I can't get it to work so you'll have to come round one at a time and I'll show you the door in person! The Mighty Prawn
I'm going for wide architrave to conceal the grand canyon around the door - if I can't see it then it's not there....
