Tford
Morakniv Companion Heavy Duty MG Knife Doesn't get used much but a great knife, and for the price you can't argue.

Loki
Hi Carbon steel easier to sharpen than stainless and can be protected from rusting very well by passivating in Citric Acid solution. Various handle finishes available - I picked up full rubber with a newer (compared to my older ones) sheath, and cheaper at French Game Fair last year. Tford
1+ Here is a hint. Get stainless. Yeah the carbon ones do tarnish very easily. Looks like **** buts sharpens beautifully.

TIGHTCHOKE
Have a look at Hultafors; http://www.hultafors.com/hand-tools/cutting/knives/ Edited August 5, 2017 by TIGHTCHOKE
fortune
I have an old Finman Kauhava which is similar to a Mora with a carbon steel blade. The edge is like a razor. The blade has tarnished a bit but it can be put in the dishwasher to get the crud residue off of it. I also have a Helle knife which is so sharp that you get cut just looking at it.! figgy
hultafors mora are all the same basic knives. I have all in various guises from working in Norway. I pick up the stainless one more than any of the others. But have a old carbon one in the garden for opening bags and sacks etc rusty and hope I never cut my self on it. Sharper than a sharp thing when new. We used to be bored waiting for lifts or materials and be whirling away at wood rope anything to had and you never knew you cut yourself till you hit bone, then blood and lots of hurt. One of the best if not the budget knives you can buy.

Jonno243
Another vote for the Clipper in stainless, I've probably half a dozen now and it's the only knife that hangs on my belt whilst stalking. You simply cannot argue with the quality / price. In fact it is the only knife used within the three man syndicate that I belong to. Between us we probably have what amounts to a full production run!
