My first outing of the year - warts and all.

A very strong wind made for very challenging shooting. I am very rusty too.

All bird were gathered but whether it was the cartridges or my shooting I was not impressed with the kills. I was using a new cartridge - RC 34g Steel Camouflage Hyperfast 3" No. 3 shot.

Great video! First person I have ever heard complain about RC steel, I think they are fantastic

Thanks. I'm not complaining - merely understating!

I was in Fermanagh yesterday and shot a mallard through a standard browning choke at somewhere between 40 and 50 yards. It folded up stone dead. The cartridges are seriously growing on me!

I watched your video on the tv rather than on my phone, glad I did as the scenery looked even better, nice shooting again and glad you still include some dog work.

Thanks - sadly Ted didn't have a lot to do that day. The wind carried them to the far side of the bay and I simply walked around to pick them up.
