Worzel-gummidge
Hope this is in the right section admins, apologies if not. I am looking for a new pair of walking boots purely for walking the dogs and rough shooting during the summer months. I am covered for the winter months with my Meindles and Aigle wellies, however I suppose they still have to be waterproof but light. I also have wide feet (man from Atlantis) so looking for a manufacturer that will allow for this, I've currently been wearing cheap Karrimor stuff for summer but the sides always split after a few months. Budgets not a problem btw. Thanks in advance for any information received. Worz

Eyefor
I wear my Meindles (and the Hanwag spares) all year round. Just stick with the quality boots you have and wear shorts or lightweight trousers (Craghopper zip-offs are great)? Cheap (or cheaper) boots will never be right in your mind if you're already wearing Meindle?

Graham M
Depends on how much you want to spend. I have used these for years as they are so light-weight you would thing they were trainers. https://www.patrolstore.com/magnum-boots.html?keyword=magnum boots uk&device=c&campaignid=316257532&adgroupid=28546177252&feeditemid=&targetid=kwd-661760419&matchtype=e&network=g&devicemodel=&adposition=1t1&no_cache=434003691626063244&creative=79152153532&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrJ-srKHO2wIV2PZRCh2_UgxTEAAYASAAEgJH4vD_BwE

ehb102
For really, really wide feet Cosyfeet have an excellent waterproof walking boot. Mine have done hard labour for a couple of winters now. I have the women's version though. https://www.cosyfeet.com/mens-extra-wide-footwear/cosyfeet-boots/livingstone#.Wx_qFkiUuM8

clumber
I have the Alt Berg Tethera in extra wide. Fantastic boot, light and really comfortable with the Svartz footbed fitted. Have been re-soled 3 times, not through poor product but hard use. Worn nearly every day. Leather is now showing their age, 8 years. Recon I'll get another soles wear out of them before they die.
