Kraai
I have shot thousands of gamebore steel and now shooting with rc 32 gr nr 3 and love them...
itchy trigger
I use a lot of the RC 32g 4's, continental sizing means they are a size 3, impressive kills through 1/4 and 1/2 choke
TIDES EDGE
Figgy I have not found any better than Gamebore I am currently using Jaguar hunting 32gm No 4 on crows and they are devastating through half choke and they were cheap. johnnytheboy
From my chrono, personally I have had good results with Fiocchi 32g, Rio BlueSteel 32g and the Gamebore 32g. If I was to pick one it would be the Fiocchi. Smiler23
What's minimal speed folk would use, for say steel 3?

mudpatten
The Eley VIP steel is an excellent cartridge.
joejoe
I have used Fiocchi 35g 2 and 4 and they have been good. Not used the 32g yet. My only problem is the colour is green so are difficult to find after using a semi auto.

Recommendations are based on personal experience shooting the cartridges, I had really good results with the fiocchi 32g last season with good clean kills, i do think your getting a good value for money cartridge there. I’m trying to use up all the odds and ends I have a start testing the copper cartridges.

figgy
I have used some Eley VIP steel in the past and they were ok so were the express, box got wet and they all got mixed together in my bag one night so couldn’t tell what carts I was shooting. Both done the job. Just seemed to go for Super Steel as they were more readily available locally . But don’t mind trying something else if it’s got good recommendations. Prefer 32g 4 shot for splashes and teal as I have Eley lightning in 3” 3 shot for longer ranges.
Houseplant
I have just bought a box of Eley VIP Lightening steel 32g 2 shot. I have high hopes. I've been using Eley VIP Hyperspeed 4 shot and can't say I'm overly impressed.
B525 LIGHT
As always remember different brands use different sizes. Gamebore generally stick with US sizes, fiocchi and RC use italian so their 2 is 3.56mm same as a gamebore 3. Eley 3’s are 3.56 but their 1’s are 3.8mm so effectively a US
motty
I don't think you can go far wrong with any of the modern factory steel loads. I like Gamebore. They are fairly cheap, widely available and they seem to pattern very well in my guns. I have also got on well with the 35gm fiocchi shells.
