Guest cookoff013
O wise and ever present PW. I need a new tent. My old tent is 10years old, now absorbs water from precipitation. My criteria is minimum 2person. With porch / storage / rain cover. Ideally under a ton fifty

chrisjpainter
Vango Tempest Pro 300. Alloy poles so much more resilient to high winds, porch space, 3 person sleeping area and not too weighty. For a tent to be classed as waterproof, it needs to have a minimum hydrostatic head of 1000mm. most decent ones are 2000+. The Vango Tempest Pro is 5000mm. This looks like a pretty decent deal: https://www.sportswarehouse.co.uk/vango-tempest-pro-300-3-man-tent?gclid=CjwKCAjw85zdBRB6EiwAov3Rild-hC8nFMgsiOoB_zj7rdodsr8tfTVz8I_ZRJ4B9mDDKXwjLsYyORoCVAEQAvD_BwE

Retsdon
Pity you weren't at the aftermath of the Leeds Festival this year. You could have had the choice of hundreds.

oowee
I have a larger Vango. May be the Omega 3 (would need to look) if your interested. Bought it for a weekend away and it's been sat in the loft since. It's 3/4 person, lounge space.

Khyam biker plus. We’ve just bought one. 2 1/2 person, with a porch. It is laughably easy to erect, spacious and excellent quality. I’m replacing a Khyam Brecon that I bought in 1997 - ONLY because we need fractionally more space. That Brecon is still perfectly serviceable, and not one of the self-erecting joints is damaged after 20 years of use. I wouldn't buy anything else if it’s a tent I don’t have to carry (it’s not light - but, having said that, I did do three days hiking in Norway carrying the Brecon in 2002, so it can be done).
