Ii appears to be obligatory for gunsmiths, gun shop owners, ground managers and shooting instructors to slam Guerinis. They all seem know someone whose brother in law heard of a chap who'd bought one in 2001 that shot loose. When I was considering a CG a certain very well known coach was quite disparaging and compared them to Bettinsolis and E Rizzinis etc. But I bought one anyway 4 years ago and found it to be much nicer to shoot than any other mid range gun I've ever owned or tried. Mine was made in 2011 and it's still tight, nothing has broken, the internals still look brand new and I have absolutely no criticisms of it. I'd take it in a heartbeat over any Browning, Miroku or Beretta.
tweedledee
My guerini is 06 and still tight as a drum....always shot Beretta but never went back..guerini handles far superior imo
samboy
I was going to p/x my Browning ultra xs for a Guerini but my local rfd said dont bother. My pal who works in another gun shop said the same. He said go for a Miroku Grd 5 MK70 0r MK38 whiich i also fancy. Its very differcult to know what to do for the best sometimes/ Nothing wrong with my Ultra but i just fancy a change.

Its very differcult to know what to do for the best sometimes/ Nothing wrong with my Ultra but i just fancy a change. Long before I bought mine I was shooting a Beretta and a gunsmith I knew back then (now deceased) said these exact words to me: "If you buy a Guerini and you get ejector problems - and you will - DON'T BRING IT TO ME BECAUSE I DON'T WORK ON GUNS ASSEMBLED WITH ROLL PINS". My Beretta had several roll pins for pivots in the action but Guerinis do not and never have. They're all the same these "experts", if it costs less than £10K and it isn't a Miroku, Browning or Beretta it's bound to be rubbish, especially from upstarts like Guerini. It's as if there's a script that gets passed around in the trade. Funny how it works out that sooner or later so many of these dealers end up stocking Guerinis... 😉😉 I have never heard of anyone with a Guerini having ejector problems and I come across a lot of them these days. Guerinis are doing well where it counts though, I was reffing yesterday and I didn't see many mid range Berettas and not even one 692. Perhaps One or two Ultras and a couple of F16s - but there were plenty of CGs out and about though.
buze
And I can second the after-sale -- the guys at anglo italian are just stars. I wanted to replace my sportster forend with a trap one, and they just invited me in, let me select the wood that most closely matched my stock, and did all the adjustments needed while I had a coffee and a chat. They also took the gun apart to give it a once-over, and they did the same with my wifes Magnus Syren at no charge, to to make sure all was tip-top. Try that with Beretta or Browning :-) Since 3 years, i've recommended CG to a few people, and indirectly 'sold' a few, and nobody ever came back to me with less than praise. sabel25
Aint it funny that CG owners have nothing but praise for them including myself Yet some dealers and shooting grounds are derogative of them Maybe that at the price they have'nt as big a profit margin on them as they might on other brands and possibly as they rarely go wrong plus a 10year warranty transferable that they will not have the after sales repairs that some bank on as like car sales if your in for repairs they will try and introduce you to a new model Any dealer or shooting ground happens to say such twaddle to me i will pass thier coments onto Anglo Italia But to date i have'nt had such **** said to me from dealers and the like
tweedledee
I reckon guerini are going from strength to strength...I took a gamble on mine years ago before they were fashionable...I myself see the price difference between then and now....I'm glad I took the gamble back then..I was told they don't hold value, they won't take the punishment..all ******** I say cause no one knew what way they would hold up..mine has been perfect...hope I don't scud myself here lol

Would definitely recommend. I've also been shooting it on game, with internal chokes it just looks like a pretty game gun and is excellent even with heavy loads. Also, I've seen @Silverpigeon69 's gun a few times, it's fantastic looking and he's pretty mighty with it.. Thanks mate!

figgy
Very nice engraving if a bit sexsist. The early guerinis did have some problems you only have to look at some USA shooting forums to read about them as they tend to shoot more carts through guns than we do. Even some of the modern guns have had problems, parts were upgraded and finishes made better. They are good at fixing the problems as they go and evolving the guns. Which is great and with them being a new brand they can do that as they don't have that old guard traditionallist following who hate change like some B brands have. I don't think the resale values are an issue anymore than any other popular make these days. But neither are they a bargain by any stretch today. That ship sailed a few years ago. I think the problem is more serious my friend, for it to be corrected and accepted into today’s society it would also have to represent all colours (including those with that hair colour that must not be naimed) and creeds, (not white male though, as we don’t matter anymore) including birds other than just pheasants, because how would this make the pigeons, crows feel? So in summary what we need is a drop down style of scrolling on new guns, like you used to get in wallets from the 80’s that does indeed represent all walks of life, just in case you are approached whilst shooting, you can then say “uno momento”, activate switch to release a magnetically held drop down scroll to reveal a 3ft plethora of PC BS to keep everyone else happy 😃 Christ that was hard to write and keeping PC....doh, just used the lords name 🤦🏻♂️ Ah ******* to is all 😂 Or they could release the PC version sorted 👌🏻 Ah, forgot to remove the word curve as that could also be interpreted into some far more sinister, which I can mention as it’s non PC. If you look at one of my posts on the Ellipse you'll see my comment on the new engraving, I'm no snowflake but it could get the females who are that way inclined to get angry and the males who play for the other team. If they made another gun with similar engraving for the women and other team of nude males then you get a happy medium.
buze
It's not a nude, it's art. It's like trying to sue boticcelli for having painted naked girls and not enough naked boys. It's not like someone cut & pasted a pic of a top model from the interweb, hundred of hours were spent designing this engraving, but a real person, and very very very likely female too.. Agreed, bring back page 3 😂 My New Years resolution is to be more non PC, but not on open forum or in front of anyone else as I don’t want to offend anyone. What happens if I offend myself? When did life get so ****** complicated 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Bede
I recently bought a 3 yr old Summit Impact, as my first gun. I'd had lessons using differing guns but the high-rib suits me and having tried the Summit Impact I just knew that was the gun for me. Absolutely love it. The scrollwork is less fancy on the summit. The only tit on it is me.
