Where does she live, is there any near her, and get it checked out if you are worried about it. There is plenty of info online see Japanese knotweed.co.uk. JDog Posted April 23, 2019 Report Share Posted April 23, 2019 Steady on chaps. As others have said these are likely to be the shoots of one of the Phyllostachys family of bamboo. If there is no obvious sign of a stand of bamboo it means that it has all been chopped down and these protrusions are coming from the rhizomes.
