spandit
It's a bit of an insensitive question to someone grieving for a lost dog but yes, we are...
moondoggy
My lab is in the vets as I write (was kept in over night), not sure if he is coming home, or for how long if he does. We won’t be getting another. My son hopes to get a lab one day, so we will baby sit his as often as possible.
spandit
Sorry to hear that. We said goodbye to our boy in the vets last June. It was the right decision but miss him terribly. The little bundle in the photo is called Luna and we pick her up in 3 weeks...

TIDES EDGE
Thats the good thing about having a pack, 6 at the moment, yes it still hurts when one goes and you still miss them but you have to get on with looking after the others having said all that I am dreading the day when my oldest goes he is one special dog but at 11years old I should have a couple of more years I hope. loriusgarrulus
We have a pack. Our eldest is 13. Still spry, but eyes are a bit cloudy and slowing down. He was my companion at agility before my joints went. Dreading him going.

Respect your choice, life can be a complete **** at times, it occurs that there are plenty of older rescue dogs that could do with a home.. just a thought and like i say respect for what ever you choose
Vince Green
WE won't get another dog, my old mate Ollie went a couple of years ago and it was just too much. Not just his long and drawn out final illness but the knowledge that the vet was screwing us because she knew my step daughter would never agree to having him put to sleep. If they had double the life span then maybe
