Eyefor
Did anyone else see the lines of satellites last night? With the new uber clear skies it was a fabulous display. It looked like an invasion! Google it or track in your location from here https://findstarlink.com/ "Thousands planned"! TIGHTCHOKE
Yes, that sort of thing! A mate asked me about them as he couldn't find them on Flight Radar. I did point out they were rather higher!! Edited April 20, 2020 by TIGHTCHOKE
mel b3
Funnily enough, I spotted one last night while I was sitting in the garden , I often spot them while I'm out shooting, but it was a rare treat to spot one from home.

bavarianbrit
Used to see Elon sometimes coming through the office when I was working at Tesla Fremont, he seemed an OK guy to me. Achieved far more than NASA has so far, an amazing character.

Hi Mel. Hope you & Lin are both well. Last night there was 30 or 40, equidistant from one another, very bright, very fast and all headed in the same direction. Worth a look tonight. Keep well. Click on somewhere close. Right click and it says Whats here? click that - up pops lat & long. For AVB Towers (St Albans ish) this 51°45'22.1"N 0°20'22.3"W is close enough? Enjoy

Apparently around 9:23 tonight. we used to look out for the International Space Station when Tim Peak was on it. We were at my MIL’s place in Portugal one evening when my wife shouted for me to come out and have a look at it. Which I did and walked straight into the swimming pool! I lost the appetite for it after that.

kennett
We noticed them early one morning them not long after they were first launched in the winter, 2 parallel lines of them that were several hundred long. Was quite strange because at the time we didn't know what they were!

Fuddster
yep just been out with bino's-clearly visible with naked eye passing west to east and very bright through the binos'.saw about 7 in succession-all on same path. apparently he wants to speed up the internet as well as sell some info to the military, companies etc. not really sure about his plan to control the internet from space-might have to line my flat cap with tin foil to stop him reading my mind. f. AVB
Saw a few of them although it took a while to find them in the sky. Quite dim compared to the ISS. Will try again tomorrow.
