NO, its everything , remove the freedom of the media, you remove a critical voice/mouthpiece of the common people.
That path leads to the removal of freedom completely.

Common people get a democratic vote, The media and democracy are strangers to one another.

I am out and have been throughout and I feel fairly relaxed overall but once the rest are let Free I dread it because there are so many stupid people who will not be careful - that is what truly scares me.

Have to agree with this, I'm sure many will just carry on as if everything is normal.

Everywhere has been quiet so its easy to keep your distance from others, but once the dam bursts.

With regard to the idea of keeping 70's indoors, I suggest that is the wrong way round.

Pensioners, broadly speaking, have the wisdom to not get up close and personal with other people, particularly with the knowledge they are amongst the most at risk if they get stupid with it.

Really- not been to the supermarkets recently have you- one peer group that appears to flaunt the ‘arrows’ and distancing etiquette 😂

Hmm - not been to a supermarket for over a month and then it was 3AM when most were tucked up in bed so can't comment on that. :)

Got to agree with you on this 👍

there’s a % that just understand 2 meters

maybe it’s the metric system that’s confusing to the generation 🤭

I come from a family of midgets and basketball players, so I’m confused as to the distances required!!!!!

Also, hasn’t the ‘2m’ rule been debunked as “just a suggestion”, esp due to the fact that your average sneeze can travel 24’ ( 7.31m in new money)

hello, its been interesting to see what is termed the 2 mtr guide or in oldy measurements 78.5 inches when you see the sticky mats placed on the floor of shops and supermarkets, are they taking this  from the centre/ inside the 2 mats/ or outside measurement,  but then it is a practical solution until you get in the shop and see people wondering around any old how,!!!!

Anyone see the picture from the plane this morning? They weren't 2ft apart never mind 2m.

And there are plenty of people who can't or won't follow the one way system in shops of all ages, always be on the look out for stupid people.

I have no real idea about how and when the move from lockdown will happen. What I can say is a lot of Cornwall is on its knees including our business. I have just had to put my name to a 50k loan to see us through. If we get the 50k plus everything my brothers and my bank accounts should hopefully allow us to keep our business and our houses.

The problem is if the lockdown opens up too soon. Yes, I would love my place to be full and earn some money but Cornwall has not suffered as much with deaths and infection rates as other areas. If we open too early tourists will inevitably bring the infection this way and I do not want to be part of the blame for that.

In reality it’s not going to make any difference in how they ease restrictions with new guidelines, people are going to ignore them anyway

criticism will come with any decisions made , this virus will take its coarse no matter what, as an individual I have no qualms in telling someone to keep the distance (even that being disputed)

any media meddling should be stopped in its tracks.

Health before wealth well that’s a tough decision for folks that already live on the bread line

its not going away anytime soon and my prediction is a second wave

Well here’s some ideas

mandatorey tracking app if you want to go out

divide the whole country into a grid similar to a chessboard

allow people out shops businesses and schools to open up on one alternate days absolutely no travel out of the grid area you are resident in

this would include golf courses cafes and pubs that can implement social distancing protocols

heavy policing and substantial fines for breaches

well that’s a start

feel free to add to the list

The state tracking your movements. No way would I accept that.

I’ve a better idea. Just let everybody out. If anybody is worried about it they can stay indoors. Their choice.

I didn’t say that it would be nice and it’s only a problem if you have something to hide 🤔

the state has told you to stay inside and most people are complying
