loriusgarrulus
Quite a few gundog/hunting breeds. Anyone recognise any. If you tap on the photo more dog pics come up. DUNKS
Why are not the owners easily found? aren't all dogs in UK chipped by law?

Not impossible to find and remove. You can buy your own scanner for a few quid. The sentence is not severe enough for the thieving lowlifes. It’s a massive use for people who’s dog gets out and lost, runs off chasing and can’t get back or similar... not so good for thieves sadly. Still well worth it... and a legal requirement. I am thinking of having our dogs done with the NDTR. National dog tattoo register. Its a bit more difficult to remove an ear tattoo. Costs about £25 per dog or apparently there is a special fee for a litter of pups.

silver pigeon69
Apparently the RSPCA are charging the dogs owners, who had their dogs stolen and found in the raid £140 to get them back!

I don't see how they can do that legally, under the law, the dogs are stolen property and therefore the original owners the legal owner, the rspca refusing to give the dog back at that point would to my mind be in possession of stolen property. I don't either, but apparently the Police can charge you for recovery/storage etc of a stolen vehicle.
