vole
I freely admit that I sometimes make excuses not to get out in the field, especially if tiredness/hangover is combined with terrible weather.Am I the only softy?
Tom Janaway
I personaly can't stand heat. I'll go out when its raining or snowing no problem, but if it's hot and sunny, then no chance B)

charlie 1
So far this year i have been out in a terrential down pour which made me go home early and miss a very good day shooting as it stoped after half an hour then the sun came back out. and my mate stayed on and shot a cracking day, which i also learned to take waterproofs with me no matter what as you never no what could happen. I have also been out in the boiling sun and come home with terrible sunburn leaving me in pain for a week. so i am now a lot more fussy and if i think it is going to chuck it down with rain or if it is too sunny with no shade then i will give it a miss or find away round it. Andy W
If I can put one foot in front of the other I will go out shooting, makes no difference if it rains, shines, snows ................. makes no difference to me, I have waterproofs and give the Miroku a generous coating of oil on the outer surfaces and keep a rag in my pocket to wipe it down, I have shot when it has poured down so bad you could not mark the card as it was too soggy. beatingisbest
Heavy rain for a few reasons- not a lot of quarry is up and about and you get soaked and freezing and spend hours cleaning your gun afterwards
Suffolk shooter
Extremes of Heat/Cold, wind/stillness combined in any order. Otherwise I will be there regardless. The whole point is to get out and enjoy nature. Saying that the one thing I really, really hate especially after getting bitten 156 times in one day is mosquito's. I suffer badly no matter what country I am in. Gnats/midges/fly's/wasp's/bees/ants no problems but mozzies B) SS
twelvebore
Heavy rain. The time it takes to strip and clean my gun makes the job not worth the effort. Please remember all you good guys, it's no good just shoving a mop down the barrels after your gun gets a soaking. The whole thing needs to be stripped, dried, oiled and rebuilt. squodged
Blazing sunshine is my only problem. Doesn't matter whether I wear sunnies or not, I can't see the bloody clays.
