armsid
Possibly due to silicon chips used in the ECU from far east as lots of car firms have the same problem or more people buying EV or Hybrids
Dougy
We've be trying to recruit staff since early May, just no interest. You get the usual turn up for interview for a visit to a different place, with no interest whatsoever. And loads that go for medical all ready to start the job then don't turn up. I'm glad im leaving the system.
WalkedUp
My friend is a manager for Jaguar Land Rover at Halewood. They have had major outbreaks and he has had people in the large team he manages catch it at work and die. There are also supply and logistical issues for importing critical parts. Apparently throwing money and staff at the situation will not help. Some big companies have loaned their staff out to their supply chain partners. MirokuMK70
For many companies it has been a lifeline to enable them to keep trading. I know that I would be out of a job now if it was not for the furlough scheme.

Sounds like they haven't maintained social distancing in the work place? My place employ a lot of people, weekly tests and zonal restrictions have meant there have been very few outbreaks in the last 6 months. Have you got any link for that statistic, it just seems an incredibly high number of people, Id be amazed if that's definitely right. WalkedUp
140,000 deaths x 485 = 68million It seems shockingly high so I just rechecked it as I assumed it was wrong, it has been a whole since I posted it.

Obviously many deaths are people infected with Covid but not dying of it, but even so, it has really surprised me, cheers.

Yes, I appreciate everything boils down to how much you trust the cause of death statistic, but like you I was shocked when I calculated it. I was trying to see if 140k was a big or small number, so to say.
