Any truth in the rumour that veterans are planning to turn their backs on Starmer when he lays a wreath at the cenotaph this year?Saw a post on Facebook.

I couldn’t agree more. To me Remembrance Day is sacred. It needs to be respected by everyone.

Surely that's hugely disrespectful to them, considering the number of muslims who fought and died for the allies in WW2.

Where did I say that I was convinced that it was true? I merely asked if the rumours had any grounds.I must admit though that I believe it would send a clear message to Starmer that the people are not happy, the gesture is not of turning one's back on the genuine heroes of yesteryear - but of the hypocrisy of a man paying his respects to a generation that paid the ultimate price for a freedom that he is insulting.
