Beretta 694 cutting finger

I had the same trouble when my 692 was new, I don't know why as the trigger guard is as smooth as a baby's bottom. For a while I carried plasters to put on if the chafing started but now I don't need them, in fact I had forgotten about it until I saw this thread.

I can only assume that my subconscious brain has taken over and keeps my finger out of the way of harm for me.

Just purchased a 694 and the trigger guard is cutting my 2nd finger I've put the trigger in the rearmost position and smoothed the trigger guard edge but it's still happening. Any ideas?

Other things that can cause this are, short LOP, diameter of grip, trigger finger to far round trigger and small hands.

A rubber trigger guard may lesson the impact but it does not cure the fault.

I've shot beretta 682s for 25 years never had a problem till this one

I've shot various Beretta's for over 40 years and still have never had the problem.

I think the gun is telling you something...........................:whistling:

I've had about 8 Beretta's and the only one i had this issue with was the 695.

Someone told me it's the steel they make the barrels out of causes the problem.

Sounds a bit strange but you never know. I have a 694 at the mo with no problem.

As Old’un said a short LOP can cause the problem. Is the stock on your current gun any shorter than previous guns?

Can't remember now. But i never tend to measure them.  I just pick up a gun and if it feels right i buy it.
