SEAFOOD

Well last Thursday was a beautiful day so my wife and I headed up the Northumberland coast to Amble. After a good walk around and buying some quality produce at the butchers, we went to the Harbour Inn for lunch. I had seen this on a foodie group I'm in on Facebook. We ordered the garlic prawns which to be honest were disappointing. However, the seafood platter was outstanding. 3 large cod goujons in a really crispy batter, crevettes, mackerel pate, brown and white crab meat, smoked salmon, salad and brown bread with a portion of homemade chips. It was fabulous and made even better as there was 50%off food!!

Hello,  sounds a nice day out together and that looks sumptuous, On my travels many many years ago to Co Clare i took the old bus from Ennistymon to Galway around the Coast road, I was told to look out for a Sea Food Restaurant down by the Harbour, I chose the Sea Food Platter and that was very tasty, Galway is a lovely City and worth a visit if your in the area,
