BobbyH
I have the surname of a certain actor in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and on Day 1 of RAF Basic Training, out of nowhere my instructors called me Bob. And the wrong thing to do was correct them…. So since 2014, my first name is now Bob/Bobby and it stuck with me wherever I went. It’s one of those things in the military 😂

busbiter
When I was at college back in 1998, someone had scratched 'I bite busses' in to one of the science desks, my very simple mind then came up with the name busbiter which has stuck for the last 26+ years! EnfieldLock
Newbie here; once I get both knees working at the same time, will be joining the local clay shooting club for both coaching and practise, as it been a few years since I last did any shooting. User name? Easy; when I was a kid I lived near the River Lee in Hackney, and was fascinated watching barges being towed up the River by horses. I did wonder why they weren't pulled by steam tugs, as the timber barges were. It was only years later I found that the horse drawn barges were carrying powder. For the Royal Ordnance Factory at Enfield Lock. So one spark from the smokestack of a steam tug and . . . kerBOOM! I believe those barges carried about 30 tons. I wonder how big a bang 30 tons of powder would . . . nah; let's not go there!
Pukka Bundook
Morning Gents, New here but got my user name maybe 20 years ago when I joined another forum. I had been Given a very sad Snider -Enfield rifle . No lock, stock around lock mortise broken out and missing. Shoe beaten in so the block wouldn't close, barrel with an abrupt bend maybe 9 inches back from muzzle. Had to cut barrel off, as the rifling was stretched when I straightened it. spliced in wood and beat the shoe back out so the action worked, found a lock, and got it running. Thought to myself, that it must have been a very good gun, to take all that abuse, and Still be be able to bring it back to life. (Called him Lazarus!) So, when looking for a screen name, I was thinking of this old Snider and the Hindi term came to mind; Pukka (Good, proper, well made) and Bundook, (Gun, Rifle) so Pukka Bundook is my old Snider really, not me! ATB, Richard.
