nope, never did it, but my dog broke my ankle halloween night 2 years ago, id only got my fac 6 weeks, the morning after i broke it i was sitting in the living room, leg in a cast and in total agony, with 6 pheasants strutting around the field in front of the house. after 2 weeks they started coming into the garden, just to taunt me.... ;)

ended up glued to youtube and bebo all the time, also found a few online zombie games that were fun :good:

yep did motorcross from age 10 up until 16, had a rm250 and travelled all over with it (or should i say dad towed it). then 1 day came off broke both arms (1 in 2 places) 2 ribs, big gash in my neck and loads of cuts and bruises. A year later i rebuilt the bike and went for a testing session at the local track. I am not ashamed to say but i just didn't have the minerals for it anymore. ;)

The track manager used to say to us 'To succeed in the sport, 1 you must have no fear, and 2 you must have a healthy respect for danger' Unfortunatley pre accident i never had the latter and post accident i gained to much of the former. Still it made me a better rider for the road as i will never forget the pain that day.

I will also never forget being 15 years old, 2 arms in slings and plaster cast, having a cr4p and wondering how to wipe my own ****. Now at 15 you really dont wanna call for mum do ya :good::good:

Had several MX and road bikes...RM500 was lots of fum but i was only a boy and couldn`t handle it other than in a straight line! Obviously never rode the others hard enough as i`ve never had a BAD crash!

I`ve got this in my shed now

Rode Motocross initially and broke my wrists and a few fingers so went more towards Enduro and hare and hounds racing. 3 hours and as many laps of a 10-15 mile course as you could do through woods, fileds, anything really.

That resulted in a broken back which gives me jip now still..

compound dislocation of my thumb

broken wrists again

shattered shoulder

cracked elbow

pinned ulna

damaged ACL

broken ribs...

It just gets daft when you start looking back on the stuff you end up doing. Only one I regret is the back. Last race of the season, going like clappers, needed to be in 3rd but was 4th and could see the lad in front of me for the last full lap. Let frustration get the better of me going into a downhill corner and woke up with paramedics looking over me.... :good:

I still have a lot to do with it though. Not the riding but the sport. Help run the clubs website and also st the tracks out, do the sports photography and general work required on race days.

my cousin does a lot of moto x and has his own track in the field right next to his house. he come off after landing a bit heavy and landed on a fence stake used as a course marker, smashed his collarbone, not nice to see first hand.

his uncle came off at a race meet and got landed on, ruptured his heart and spleen and died in hospital a few hours later.

needless to say i prefer tarmac under my wheels.
