helenthomas
There are some great pictures on here everyone. Here is my 2 year old bitch during a recent hunting session. She is coming on in leaps and bounds now, before she was confusing residual scent with the real thing and now she is becoming much more confident. Helen. Helen. great action shot like most wires the stance is very much " on the edge of steady" - mine will bump them out of the sky if they flush too close
al4x
on the edge is definitely something you get used to heart in mouth, mine is very steady on point and fine when they flush properly but if they tuck in tight when she is given the command to flush you can end up with it retrieved. A seasons dogging in being on top of her all the time worked wonders with reliability and she just steadily got better over the season. I'm quite lucky and morning walks are round the shoot so we see a lot of birds and deer and have done since she was out walking, how they go from hardcore hunters to this though is comical

archi
Here are my four hounds Cara the oldest is now 10 and is a retired sofa dog after both rear cruciates went within 12 months Gypsy the lab is now 8 and has been absolutley brilliant in her time Bentley is the son of Cara and is now 4 and after being slow in his training is now coming on well, has sat om the peg on a 300/400 bird day last year and made some good retrieves on runners. He just needs his waterwork to improve. Daisy the clumber is a good beting dog and ideal in the water for the duck and geese. She is some character A strong cock runner in the past has made her mouth suspect at times but I can live with that. archi
