malantone Posted June 15, 2015 Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) this weekend I had a crow call bird released from a Larsen trap, it was covered by a camera which had captured the gentlemen who opened the trap, it was in the middle of the wood with no public access anywhere near, I met the police and took them to the trap, the wildlife PC was puzzled what to charge them with, I said I would ask on this forum, HELP PLEASE. malantone Posted June 15, 2015 Author Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 She was brand new so far as wild life crime was concerned, from experience I doubt the sergeant would help much, I was asked by a sergeant once, why was I shooting Pheasant in a wood , he thought it was a daft place to shoot because of all the trees. Interference with a legal trap is also an offence Google is your friend ! So there are two offences ! Trespass is a civil thing so you will have to sort that yourself . I would agree with the above, if u did padlock bird in u'd get them for criminal damage too. Defo either speak to BASC or NGO and fair play to the Wildlife crime officer, nice to hear them doing some good and going out there way to help.
