  1. Team tractor - your contract is with Aldi and never the manufacturer - if Aldi want to send it to the states that's up to them - if they wont repair it then the LAW states that they must refund you as long as you have proof of purchase. Ask citizens advice.
  2. Free to anyone that wants it - pm me your address.
  3. One day at a time Sir, the anaesthetic alone can hang around for ages. Each day you should start to feel a little stronger and the improvement can be so minor that you don't notice it but if you take care and don't try and rush things you will get there. Best of luck.
  4. Keep an eye on the cocking Dog on the forend - seen some wear in this area and stop the hammers cocking - spot of grease might prevent future probs.
  5. They will be 70mm and it looks like the "Field" model to me.
  6. As a rough (very) guide - whilst holding the gun at waist level stare at a point on a nearby wall or area and keep your head still, close your eyes and mount the gun so it feels comfortable - do it several times until you find a position that you feel comfortable and easily repeatable - then whilst holding the gun still in your shoulder open your right eye (assuming you are right handed/master eyed) and take a look - if the gun fits then you should see along the top of the rib (but none of the rib) and the bead should be on your aim point - you can learn to overcome small fit issues but if the bead is nowhere near then the gun is not for you. Avoid Trap guns - go for a well known make, Browning etc with 28 or 30 inch tubes and multi choke (cos sooner or later you will want to fiddle) - buy wisely and you could get your money back after a couple of years. Someone suggested a 425 - superb guns.
  7. Had a 302 many years ago and I swear it would have fired a packet of Polo's - so reliable.
  8. If your immune system is, as you say, fubared, then your GP should be prescribing 14 day courses of antibiotics instead of 7 - most GP's don't seem to realise this. As for Thrush there are thing you can do to help the situation "downstairs" - bacteria needs moisture to survive so keep the chap dry - cotton underwear helps. There is another method I used when I used to suffer many years ago that involved making a collar from a single folded piece of loo paper - not sure you need me to go into details as you can work out the mechanics easily.
  9. Small (hand held) cass creek electronic caller - "predator" model CC334 - Rabbit/Rodent/Wood Pecker!/Coyote - free to anyone who wants it, just pm me your details.
  10. As I said . Only needs doing if the existing cylinder pressure is too low to seal the valve .
  11. Ah - the old Zeus book, my one time bible. Used to know the tangents etc of most angles off by heart in my yonder programming days. Never thought I would miss Engineering but producing precision components for the Aircraft Industry (and the Airship that was going to fly regular trips to America) and F1 cars was always interesting . We used to make parts for detecting vibration on Railway lines and I would "invent" a pitch so nobody could produce spares for them!
  12. Got my lad to concentrate on the bird now rather than making eye contact - took a couple of days but he watches the bird 100% now - his marking is near perfect so you were right Lloyd about where he should be looking.
  13. Bit bored today so I rang a few Airgun service/repair specialists regarding this matter - very little interest from the first 3 but then Halleluiah - Dean from John Knibbs picked up the phone and, at last, not only interest but sensible, intelligent suggestions from the guy who is obviously an experienced Engineer. It's so nice to be able to discuss thread diameters, pitch and head sizes with someone that clearly knows their stuff. Sending the piston to him in the next few days so we may finally be getting somewhere .

    Stick wood

Brussels I had from Tesco's on Sunday tasted like they may have been soaked in horse urine.
  15. Have a Nikko Gameking on mine - brilliant scope for few pennies. Worth mentioning that you don't need a scope designed to withstand heavy recoil - plus the nearer to the bore the better.
  16. Shame - could still be a late xmas pressie to yourself . So much fun and devastating on feathered targets - the look on what's left of a pigeons face after being hit at 150 yards is pure joy!
  17. No , not the price of a pint and I don't like being ripped off - how much is yumove? £17 when the Tesco equivalent is around a fiver. If you believe that green lipped muscle powder actually works (and there's very little evidence) then you can buy the stuff in kilo bags for around the same price as Tesco tablets. Oily fish most likely has the same , if not more, effect.
  18. IMHO yumove is an absolute rip off 0 look up the ingredients and buy the human version in Tesco - about 1/100 of the price.
  19. There are some fantastic pictures on here - why has nobody ever considered us all voting for the top 13 each year and having a PW Calendar made - mainly Dogs but some members pictures of days out shooting are worthy entrants?
  20. Kev1gun - you are a life (and pistol!) saver Sir - if I order the washer would it be possible to post the 2 parts to you along with a sketch of what I think should work?
  21. Will get my daughter to put a picture up of the piston tomorrow - don't have a washer yet as not worked out how I'm going to attach the thing when I get it. Can get a new piston with seal from Italy for just under £50 but with a service kit on top it's going to make the project uneconomical. If I was still a precision Engineer (20 years) this would be a doddle.
  22. Your medical record should be available to you online surely - mine certainly is.
  23. Easiest way to explain is - if you look at chambers gun spares and find the Diana/original mod 5 piston washer you can enlarge it and see the size of the hole in the middle - the previous owner of my pistol has left me with an approx. 3mm hole drilled off centre on the piston "face" .
