  1. Hands up - but a long time ago, 13 charges of Armed Trespass, using a Firearm without a Licence, purchasing Ammunition whilst under age, theft of Firearm. Over the 2 previous years I was caught and prosecuted for 2 cases of shoplifting and cautioned once previously for using threatening behaviour (which was totally untrue). When I applied for my SGC, around 5 years later, the local Bobby laughed and said I had no chance - it actually came through in about 6 weeks which was less time than my shooting partner and he had a clean record. Embarrassed to be truthful but it was over 30 years ago and I've been an Angel since () due, mainly, to the fear of losing my licence?
  2. Madder than a box of Frogs - superb picture - one of mine had to keep stopping this morning to chew the Ice from her paws.
  3. I guess you "pays your money" - bought 2 Drive shafts from the Bay for my Saxo - came with CV joint and gaiter, £34 inc postage for the pair (shipped from Germany) - now done 7K+ miles and look like new.
  4. Difficult to offer any advice without a good picture but have you tried compressing the beast with a clamp then wrapping cotton around it, almost as if you were "whipping" it as per ferrules on a fishing Rod, position it then cut the cotton and remove any caught threads with tweezers?

    Scam

My TV Licence is going to expire tomorrow as my online payment has been refused by the bank - apparently nearly every week for the last couple of months . When I'm bored I fill in the online forms with the most ridiculous (and disgusting) names I can think of, search online for fake account numbers and card details then send the lot back - it's like scam but in reverse.

    Funny eye

Mine was same as yours Westley, and pretty much exactly as you described it although my black line came down like a curtain. Operation 2 days later then 2 weeks where I had to look at my feet for 50 minutes every hour - didn't work in my case and now blind in that eye. Anyone who thinks that Eye problems do not warrant a trip to A&E simply fail to realise that, in some cases, time is limited if surgery is needed. Don't risk it - I lost my right eye and had shot right handed for over 30 years when I lost that eye, the only saving grace is that I have always been a terrible shot so switching shoulders has given me an excuse now.
  7. Gay as - if you stepped out of that round here you'd get beaten up .

DONT MESS WITH YOUR EYESIGHT - EYE CASUALTY.
  9. Maybe he is filing an informative piece on Corvid control and in doing so is showing the best way to do it i.e. do calls work etc. Poor guys not doing anything wrong - look forward to watching it - I love picking them off with the .17 over a dead Rabbit, normally pick one up from the side of the road then pop it about 100 yards out in a field before shooting them from a hide.

    Scammed

ALWAYS pay using a credit card.
  11. Christ on a bike Stu - if we continue to get along the way we seem to have the last few months it's gonna end up with Christmas cards and maybe matching jumpers .
  12. If I was tied to a chair and whipped with a damp Kipper until I agreed to buy a BSA then it would be the Scorpion - bought one really cheap a couple of years back hoping to make a few quid by selling it - sold it - regretted it ever since . For a beginner, Bogdan31, you have chosen wisely - but now that you own the gun it means we can all tut and tell you that it is, the wrong calibre, it's too heavy or too light, it's not as accurate as my uncles Blunderbuss and that it doesn't have enough accessory rails to bolt on all the kitchen accessories that you can buy .
  13. So it's ok to shoot the wretched creature if by doing so you use an unloaded Rifle?
  14. WOW - stunning looking chap, you have so many great times together to look forward to - remember them all .
  15. I'm also guessing that a Deer in agony by the side of the road would constitute an "excuse" - it would be daft to put a blanket ban on humanely despatching a wounded animal that was injured due to a road collision. It clearly states that it is only an offence if by doing so you " in consequence a user is injured, harmed or interrupted".
  16. Now you need to ask ultrastu in the Airgun section - he's an expert on these IMHO a far better gun than the RM8.
  17. Unless my memory is failing me - discharging a firearm within 50 feet of a highway is only illegal if it is likely to cause injury, harm to property or livestock, or something along these lines?
  18. Loads of fans of the RM8 - personally I wouldn't have one if you gave it to me but if you like it - loads of the for sale which might say something?
  19. As said - as long as you are both over 18 then no rules apply unless you are banned from owning a firearm - FAC doesn't really come into it as the owner is unable to sell to you anyway. You might want to ask the Mods to move this to the Airgun section and tell us about the gun and the amount you are considering spending.
  20. Loved the Baikals - you could virtually build a T34 Tank engine using the bits of metal mixed in with the shot of a box of 50.
  21. POPP = pensionable oldypigeonpopper?
  22. Assuming you are 18 - give him the money, he gives you the gun - job done?
  23. That looks like it's been rolled - it has a seam? Never seen a Damascus barrel made out of flat sheet that is the rolled! You can see the fold on the right hand side - how strange.
  24. Bread and Butter work with a CNC Lathe.
  25. Unless you want the crunch or large onion pieces you could use the Indian method of grating the onion then squeezing out the water - cooks much faster and will caramelize giving a better flavour.
