  1. Most people simply buy a used mod 2 brno for a couple of hundred notes and pop of bunnies at 100 yards all day long - subs are cheap enough and do a great job. As for large bore Airguns in the UK-ordering mine as soon as I buy my Goldfish a Bicycle.
  2. Just like to say - bought some shot from this guy a few years back - superb quality and a real nice chap to deal with .
  3. DukesArcher - 3 year warranty is meaningless and a waste of paper as it does not cover anything that your statutory rights don't already cover.
  4. Check the vid on youtube - Daystate at the Midland game fair 2017-belas shooting the latest £1200+ Wolverine 2...at 1min 45 secs watch the Mag jump as the gun fires....sum ting wong here methinks??
  5. How many shots do you imagine that you will need? - most people find 60-70 plenty, if not more than, enough - be interesting to ask all forum members how many times they have run out of air? With the exception of "branching" Rooks or a heavy Ratting session (and ,by God, you're glad of a break shooting Rats) I doubt that it's even a concern to experienced shooters.

    JUNK EMAIL

Buy a phone that has "call guardian" - less than £30 on the Bay and stops 99% of nuisance callers - I peed off an Indian "Microsoft Engineer" about a year ago and he went mad, promised to call me day and night from then on and he did - call Guardian stops 10-15 calls from him everyday.
  7. Why get it tuned DukesArcher ? - the amount of money to have the work done is crazy in exchange for any tiny improvements over a Gun that is nigh on perfect out of the box. As for Daystate - you will never get a mutually agreeable answer simply because everybody has had different experiences with them - some people who own them will support the Marque simply because they believe that you need to pay for the best while others own an AA or HW and have saved a considerable sum on a Gun that it would be hard to improve. Personally I would never own another one as mine let me down once too often with sporadic accuracy issues and constant trips to a Gunsmith to remove stuck pellets - not acceptable on a gun that sold for a grand.
  8. I can see it now - new government legislation bans the use of real Shotguns that look like imitations.
  9. Chap that fill the feeders only fills the feeders and has no other involvement - sold the Scorpion but wished I hadn't as it was superb but only single shot - an S410 carbine .22 took it's place in the toolbox. Must say, credit where credit is due, hard to fault the Scorpion and I'm not a BSA fan.
  10. The Landowners have a legal responsibility to control the greys and this was done with poison until it was banned about 3 or 4 years ago - the woodlands are also home to many species and there was evidence that poisoned corpses were killing the Owl population. The chap that used to put out the poison is now the one who fills the feeders and the Estate Manager now "vets" volunteer pest controllers for the Woodland - I believe that there are currently 6 but most can only shoot at weekends due to work, which is also the busiest time for visitors - this is a very public area and I have often had people walk within feet of me when tucked up in a hide. Some kind of co2 powered trap is being considered but I think that money is a main issue, I also think that a few more guns on the job would be useful but few people seem keen to join a club and pay subscription and range fees for 6 months just to shoot the Greys 6 months of the year - I also worry that if some clown goes and puts a pellet passed a visitors ear then we will all suffer so it's a catch 22 I'm afraid.
  11. Cheap red dot would fit the bill.

Christ on a bike ips - she didn't make you drink a glass of wine first did she
  13. Nothing to do with any of my licences Dave - strict code of conduct in writing by the Landowner - about 5 pages of bumf to read and agree to before signing. You need at least 6 months membership at a local Air Riflet club followed by a statement from the club owner that you are a competent shot - then you need Insurance which must be bought along to an "interview" where you meet the Manager that controls all shooting. Sub 12ft/lb Airguns only in the Woodlands but I believe that .17 HMR's have been allowed under strict conditions in open countryside where Rabbits were a real problem. Anyhow - if the Manager believes you to be trustworthy then you get a written perm statement and a set of Maps.

After he escaped why did he not simply go to the Police and tell then what had happened - he had the drugs in his system and her fingerprints were all over his steering wheel - she would have shot herself in the foot. RUBBISH ENDING.
  15. Tightchoke - you need to contact the worlds Air Forces and advise them that their IFF units are defunct as Binoculars are going to become standard issue. Oh, and let the Missile makers know that medium and long range missiles will no longer be needed as all AC must be visually identified. Rubbish indeed. Last comment as I have no interest in arguing.
  16. Simples SS - because the land is Parkland and is open to the public at all times - Winter is the least busy time for visitors so shooting must take place then. Normally get first TXT at the end of October and we have to stop end of March as public opinion is also against shooting whilst young Squirrels are around during the summer months. 5k of parkland spread over approx. 10 different locations each with an average of 3 feeders - I get a map of each woodland showing feeder locations with each one having a number. An employee of the owners fills the feeders every Weds and reports back to the Manager to advise on exactly which feeders are being hit the hardest - I then get a TXT (normally Fri evening) saying for example Ash Copse feeder #3 is empty and so on listing the next 3 or 4 busiest feeders. Clearing the place is nigh on impossible as numbers and area to cover are vast and Squizzers are not daft.
  17. Yep - side on into the engine room, 3/4 grown Squirrel and a couple of seconds to take the shot as the blighter was heading for the canopy and not sitting head on at the feeder as his mate had been so I took the shot, not ideal as it took a few seconds for him to drop and he made it to the other side of the tree compared to #1 who dropped instantly with the headshot. First day of the season so may be a bit over keen but the Manager wants quick results and I need kills to keep him happy.I made the decision to shoot in a couple of seconds and took a shot that I would normally avoid.
  18. Colour has little ,or no, difference to an Aircrafts vulnerability in Air to Air combat as most takes place "beyond visual range" - the Hawk is simply not capable of being much use as anything other than a trainer - would you take on an F15 in one? As for the British not losing any AC in A to A combat - we have not been in as many conflicts as the good old US of A and we have not had much in the way of Fighters for a long time, or since the powers that be decided that Multi Role AC would be cheaper....I mean more useful .
  19. Tightchoke...T1A,s sprayed grey eh? well that should save us - bullet bait. Cannot understand why we should not buy American planes as the F15 and 16 are far more advanced than anything we can afford to develop and cheap, from memory no F15 has ever been lost in Air to Air combat and the plane has been used heavily since the late 70's.
  20. Personally cant stand the Red Arrows, complete waste of money in my opinion - but it would be a different matter if the Aircraft they used was a decent fighter that could be "Combat ready" with a few minor alterations - much like the American display teams.
  21. UNBOUGHT!!! after speaking to the seller and finding the cost of posting is going to double the cost of the gun I have backed out of the sale -apologies to anyone inconvenienced.
  22. Bought!! Quick bit of research reveals this is an SMK B45-3 and was owned and customised by a guy who called himself Nigel Tetlington-Smythe OBE!! He seems to have done quite a few articles on it on a site called "The Angry Airgun Company" but the last post states that he passed away following an accident in June of this year .
