The challenge to beat last years 49 on this perm has begun .

So totally out of the blue today came the txt to say that the Squizzer feeders were up and running and that, over the last week, one area in particular was being hammered. Finally, a quick call to Thames Valleys boys in blue to get a reference number to clear me shooting in a public area but guess what? 3/4 of an hour and nobody answered the phone. I give up!! I surrender!! I sat back down on the sofa and the dog jumped up and stared at me - pretty sure he knew he would get a second walk now. Sometimes things just ain't meant to be .

Bought a Sink/Tap from them less than 2 years ago.....Tap gave up the ghost in less than a year (previous one was from Aldi and still going strong after at least 10 years) and the enamel on the sink is the thinnest I have ever seen. Might have improved since I dealt with them but IMHO no better than Wickes.

I always thought that it was OH's task to provide any form of aid that would assist in you doing your job? In my experience their sole purpose was to keep you working at all costs - if not then they are supposed to find you a similar job. If your Doctor, however, has decided that you are unable to continue with your particular occupation then I would consider retiring on medical grounds and letting your present company pay you a pension - it wont stop you getting another job.

Nothing wrong with payment on collection - ebay fees are what's costing them business at them moment.

Redhall Farm used to have a shoot I seem to recall - along the road to Swanbourne and first farm on the left after the bends I think. The one in Swanbourne would be bigger as I'm sure they have a full time keeper but never met him. If you get stuck for dog walks in Winslow btw, chuck them in the car and pop into Adstock on the way to Buckingham - go straight thru and keep looking for a picnic sign - there's a car park there with 68 Acres of fenced woodland opposite the car park with mowed footpaths - brilliant for dogs, once you get bored of that one there's another 100 acres of the same but with no car park (cars park on the side of the road no probs) about 1/4 mile before the picnic sign.

Your beef is with the supplier as already said - you entered into a contract whereby they undertook to supply you goods for a particular purpose - the fact that the goods have constantly failed is grounds for a complete refund. If they refuse to refund you, and after such a time you are liable to prove a manufacturers fault, then let them know that you will get a reputable gunsmith to complete a report on the guns failing and that an additional charge for this will be involved - the supplier of this gun will also be liable for this cost when you take them to court. Write to them, recorded delivery, and give them 7 days to respond - if nothing happens then contact your local court.

I have seen what you can do to a sidelock or a piece of wood not really fit for burning so a knackered Landy is going to be a walk in the park for you.

You have been fortunate enough to buy one of the best spring powered guns ever made - any maintenance work should only be undertaken using your elbows - in other words leave it alone - at 2 months old it's still burning any lube used when she was assembled and will get even better than it is now and I'm betting that it's pretty impressive already.

Most likely a nest on the ground in an old mouse hole or similar - go back late evening just as it's getting dark, locate the hole and pour petrol down it - chuck a lit match down the hole and revenge is complete.

Prices vary wildly - the MK1(1991-94) & MK2 (1994-98) can be picked up for less than £200 depending on who is selling - privately I have seen then go for less than £150 - if you can get a MK2 at this price then grab it with both hands as it's the sweeter shooting of the 3. The MK3 (1998 - present date) is the fish scale chequered one and are normally £250+ although I'm not sure if a left hooker is available - a Walnut stocked MK2 LH in mint condition would cost your right arm and your best looking daughter I would imagine.

Been in a very similar situation myself but with long term illness (Renal Failure) - only managed to survive because the wife was earning good money.
