  1. Surely the warranty only applies if the service schedule is adhered to - the cambelt would be part of the service around the 70000 mark.
  2. Yes many years ago the sorting office lost my .22lr and showed little interest in finding it. I discovered the name of the Units Manager and rang him telling him that I had no choice but to give his name to the Police as they treated potential firearms theft very seriously - gun turned up 2 days later.
  3. Probably don't want it but you have my respect and I hope you find something.

The 1322 can be pumped in almost total silence if you have the knack but the later ones are made in Mexico where Juan doesn't really care if looks like its been assembled by a drunken Sloth - they also have plastic breach blocks which should be avoided like a coin on the floor at a puffs convention. The BSA is one of the worst pistols ever made - the barrel is tiny and loading and cocking the beast is so much hassle that the final shooting of the lump leaves you wondering why you bothered. The HW45 is a fine pistol but requires a lot of input from the user to get much out of it whilst the Webley offerings are, in my opinion, terrible to shoot and are best left to the collectors who can sit and rub them in the evenings whilst fantasising about original boxes and sales brochures. The Crossman 2240 is dirt cheap and tried and tested over many years - the Ratcatcher is the same gun with a longer nose and a stock that will Roger a Rabbit at 25 paces all day long so you know the tiny twin is capable. BTW the CO2 357 is about as much fun as you can have with your trousers on.
  5. Go into device manager and identify your network adaptor - then use your mates laptop to download the drivers onto a USB stick. Whoops - just reads the above post.
  6. If Squirrels are the bane of your life then just put up a feeder with a steel backstop and pop them off with the Airgun. Meanwhile start working out how you can pee on your neighbours Strawberries.
  7. I haven't come across it but then I don't think I live in your area.
  8. Pretty sure that the Winnie Select is made by Browning and based, pretty much, on the 525. Before you decide you must try them first - don't assume that they will fit you - there's a world of difference just between the fit of Browning and Beretta for example and many people who are comfortable with one marque cannot get on with the other no matter what.
  9. Worst thing is, even though it wasn't your fault....your premium will go up next renewal time

Whoops....comment removed as it would be illegal.

Crossman 2240 - only one near the limit that's dirt cheap, as well as being more accurate than you are.
  12. Not heard anything bad about them but,on the other hand, they never set the world alight so I'm guessing pretty average. Must be getting on a bit now so spares might be an issue - try the S410, there's a good reason that they are so popular.

I think that the silence following your post speaks volumes. The old saying that you "cannot polish a T**d" is most apt in your situation. Spending money on a budget Chinese Take Away that was never likely to be more accurate than a Tossed Salad is only likely to end in tears - what you will have, in effect, is something with the ability to kill all the things that you will never hit with it. Buy a HW80 is you want high powered spring Nirvana.
  14. Well disappointed.....had my box of tissues ready and waiting
  15. Digs book "antique guns for the modern shot" is also a Gem of a read. As for chokes - don't get too hung up on it - some of my guns are CYL/ FULL but that doesn't seem to stop them dropping pigeons all day long - many guns for Grouse were built this way. If you did want the chokes altered then £100 should cover both tubes if you simply wanted them opened out. Take a look on Gunstar - few there, you will also be amazed at how a decent Smith will remove pits - I bought a gun with a ploughed field inside the tubes - Douglas Burton left them looking like glass!!
  16. Had your Daughter been alone we may be discussing a very tragic story indeed. Report it - the offence of owning a Dog that is "perceived" as being dangerous has already been committed - I'm surprised you have to ask for the advice of others.
  17. English hammer guns are my passion and there's still quite a few around at reasonable prices - about a month back I bought a Lincoln Jefferies SxS Damascus HG in vgc for under £300..The thought of buying a Turkish Delight fills me with dread - why? when you can buy 10 times the gun at half the price ( the English gun will also cost you nothing if you look after it as you should get back what you paid plus a little more) and as for a multi SxS I find the notion abhorrent - akin to a pump action Holland & Holland or a Purdey poachers folding .410. Give your specs a buff up and get searching the ads - you know it makes sense
  18. Not normally one to comment on celeb deaths but this is bad news....very funny man, thank you for bringing sunshine into some of the darker times of my life.
  19. Quick update .... no's 26,27 & 28 fell to the Scorpion today in less than 20 minutes. Switched to my .177 AA S410 for a few weeks after the BSA started spitting the odd flyer out (nightmare if you've waited over an hour for a squizzer to appear) and I simply could not work out why but a new tin of AA Field and it's punching 5p size holes at 25 yards again. The guy in charge of shooting is happy so lookin good for next season, Rooks will be looking at their nests soon so some of the land will become unshootable as the noise they make is unreal. Best outing was 6 and drew a blank just the once, I have learned that, around here anyway, afternoons are best for plugging Nutty and that putting a dead one on the feeder seems to reassure any skittish ones nearby and give them the confidence to come to the feeder - fatal mistake. Still appears that the larger calibre is more suited to Nutty bashing - longest runner with the .177 was about 25 yards while the larger pellet has only seen one manage more than 2 or 3 yards before realising that he's dead - everyone has been headshot. So far I'm 4 in front of last years total on this perm with another couple of good months ahead - if I can get to 40 I'm going buy myself a new gun to celebrate....

    Proper Flu

Yet so avoidable for less than £10 while shopping at many Supermarkets
  21. I think that the symbol means "earth" and with the propeller shape could it be an Aircraft grounding point?
  22. "Does anyone shoot cf without a mod?".....yes, some clown about 2 fields away from me this morning, can anyone else hear a ringing sound?
  23. If your ticket says .22 Rimfire you might get away with a .22WMR??
  24. Before you jump in you might just check the chokes - you never know if someone has bored it SK/SK and thus make it unsuitable for your needs (unless you want a Skeet gun of course).
  25. Jesus Wept....whoever buys this should turn up in a Balaclava, at £150 you're stealing it. Had mine 15+ years and still looks like new, these are amazing guns.
