Bought a (used) Hoggs coat (from lksopener on this forum) last September and I cannot remember a day since when I have not worn it. Been out in the worst of Weathers and remained warm and dry to such an extent that I have been known to nod off wearing it waiting for Pigeons to put in an appearance - Superb quality and, if it ever wears out, I would not hesitate to buy another.

I'm on PIP-what they forget to mention is the application process...Applied in April 2014 and finally got an interview in March 2015....you get nothing till you have been interviewed.

Can anyone recall the film/episode where the lads were at a party and, I think Laurel, had a piece of wood that made a loud crack when he hit people on the backside with it, Hardy then took it from him to do the same but hit a woman??

Then let your wife pay for the damage - if my other half was being unreasonable then a few choice words would sort the issue. Other option would be to pop down to your nearest Homebase and buy some Polystyrene tiles and some Decorators Caulking - cut the Tiles to fit and line your cabinet with them. Make sure that your guns are not really cold when you put them away and use something like Napier Gun Cleaner on the metal.

Ammo is a major contributing factor to longer range shooting with the lr.....only rounds I trust over 60 yards are RWS HV HP , hard to get hold of but, by God, accurate little lumps.

You would have got a much faster response if you said that they were driving around the Green in an untaxed Car doing well over 30.

To be in with a chance round here you need to offer the asking price or above if you really want it - most houses are sold within 2-3 days....sometimes hours.

I know exactly what you mean figgy - but I suppose it depends on what "floats your Boat". I would find the endless task of attempting to put 10 shots thru the same hole rather depressing but I can understand the desire for perfection. I was out this morning at 6:15 after squizzers and as I got into position I managed to knock my S410 over from the tree that I had leant it against - if I had spent less time cussing and more time concentrating I may have avoided doing exactly the same thing again seconds later - each time she fell it was with a sickening thud. I had no choice but to carry on and within 15 minutes I had one in the bag but just did not feel right not knowing that the gun may be off zero. Bought her home and cleaned all the mud off and then put a target down the garden to see how much damage had been done.....25 yards exactly - 10 Barracuda Hunter Extremes tore a ragged hole that I could hide with a 5p coin slightly above the centre of the Bull. Now that floats my Boat....straight out of the Tin.

Not sure if I envy him or not....On one hand he's had a great innings but on the other he has had to endure over 70 years of the worst memories that life could throw at him......We can but hope that he has managed to find some semblance of peace.

My money is still on the 45 , Underdog, the Wobbley and Snot simply cannot compete with it.
-
The 70 bears no resemblance to the Wobbley jobs whereas the 45 is the pistol that the Wobbley would have became if only the makers hadn't sat on their hands for 50+ years and watched their business go down the pan. The 45, in its relatively short period of existence, has already over shadowed the British offering and is the choice for most people who want a high powered, reliable and accurate pistol.
-
Are you having problems with your rrrrr's?
-
IMHO - where Webley "over barrel" pistols are concerned the design was OK back in the mists of time but,as with most British products, far better alternatives became available to steal away customers while Webley simply buried it's head in the sand and continued to knock out variations on the same out dated theme for far too long.
-
Should be good for that archiebald - but the cage needs to be no bigger than the box that the pistol came in - I think that maybe Webley designed the original packaging with safety in mind - if the gun was to discharge inside the box there's little chance of the pellet exiting and causing any damage

Christ on a bike bobt - walking into a school is like taking Candy from a child - even if you have to ring a Bell then simply uttering the word "Delivery" gets you in...most School doors are secured with a Magnetised lock - just a good push is enough. I worked as a Caretaker in a primary school and if you think for one second that your child is safe there then you need to think again.

Stiff bolt actions on the 452 can easily be rectified with a fine Arkansas Stone.
-
You could worry yourself into an early grave over Chokes - which one do you prefer x which one you shoot best with is the only real dilemma. Nowt wrong with Baikal BTW - built to a standard far higher than their price might suggest.

Top Gear should ,then, be a prerequisite to driving a car? History has an abundance of idiots and Nutters but its sometimes impossible to spot them till it's too late - Hindsight has the potential to save more lives than any medicine ever dreamt of

Tin Can ??- you mean Oil Drum surely?

CO2 pressure inside a capsule is determined by its temperature more than any other factor-if you try to increase the pressure physically the Gas will simply revert to liquid form. Several shots in rapid succession means a larger amount of Gas in the gun which in turns cools down the gun and thus the gas ( Hot travels to cold, don't forget ) and this causes the capsule to cool down and the pressure reduce ( CO2 is a refrigerant ) - pressure fall caused by this cooling action can drop velocity by as much as 100 fps. Only way round it is to wait at least 15 seconds between each shot and store the whole gun/capsule somewhere warmish until the shot is about to be taken.

Great guns if you wear Rose Tinted Specs.....I know that, sooner or later, people will start to collect even the later ones but, IMHO, awful pistols in every way. If somebody gave me one for nowt I would expect change.

Pretty much certain that Sabre Toothed Tigers roam around Yorkshire and I have actually seen a complete skull to prove it, in that village full of Vikings......somewhere in York.

Big Cats?- hasn't the Loch Ness monster eaten them all yet
