Yes got to agree with that , think it’s still £45 for the year and it’s what they do , game management

The “ home “ series of books , by author “a american “ there’s about nine books in the series read them through probably three times , survivalist theme , man in USA getting back to and looking after his family after an emp has hit

I guess you can overshoot a permission , it’s difficult sometimes between getting out and getting the birds and keeping the farmer happy , needs to see you doing a job for him , in his eyes you being there firing shots and scaring them away is a result , he’s not interested in you getting big bags because you left it alone for three weeks ! You will come to a compromise that works for you if you’re permission is big enough split it into areas , down our way it’s very quiet at minute no large numbers of pigeons , few crows but still get up couple of times a week , even if one time is just a wander with the gun and a handful of carts

Hi sorry don’t know how to do links but I think the video you’re after was on the fieldsports channel on you tube , think the head line was “ coppers top tips for hitting back at antis “ , hope this helps

Cartridge question if I may gents
spurs 14 replied to mgsontour's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I guess in the simplest terms is if you’re shooting within your range capabilities, as in judging it, and within the range of your cartridge , you put the shot in the right spot they will drop regardless of which one you bought I know many shooters who will buy the cheapest cartridges available at the time , clays or pigeons couple I know just use 28/7s for everything some are brand loyal and use only one or two carts for clay /game -
shotgun permission advice required
spurs 14 replied to scoobie007's topic in General Shooting Matters
It can be done but as said in previous posts it’s difficult , last year had a couple of trips out after a fox up permission , baited a spot and sat out at dusk with a squeaker , could hear it but couldn’t draw it out for a shot , two nights was like this then nothing ! -
Larsen would be my choice ,,!
-
Don’t worry there’s a lot of us in the same boat , our way there’s not much about at the minute was up farm this morning no pigeons about , very still day nothing on osr , you can’t shoot what’s not there , keep an eye on the fields they will be about at some point ,, keep the farmer happy and show your face and have a wander when you can Good luck

Pays to change things if it’s all quiet !

Don’t think you can go far wrong with altberg , I’ve been using them for years , summer I’ve used their desert boot for last few years and winter or wet weather their defender boot , look after them and they last sole will wear out first ,
-
And can I personally say thank you , you have succeeded where professional people have failed !!! You have instantly cured me of a nurse fetish I have had for many years ! Think it was the black stockings , ? Or the carry on films , ? Anyway that image is now gone !! The wife asked me if you could take two French maids next time , I’d be nearly normal !!!
-
Well done bud , now go enjoy it , look after it and it’s a win win !
-
Got some osr here on permission , coming along nicely , has been hit by pigeons but nothing like last year , been on it a couple of times and can’t get them to decoy in on it , not seeing the numbers at moment think they are spread thin no shortage of food

Smoothest game cartridges
spurs 14 replied to Ferret664's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I’ve been using the game bore clear pigeon 6 - 30 g carts , like them , but that is through a semi auto so recoil feels nominal -
I try too, but some cases it’s an individuals take , play in the wheel bearing ? just right . . Bit sloppy ? Advisory ! Bit much fail ! Same with the emission test , I plan for it to pass then hope.
-
Made up ! Took defender in for mot , passed with just one advisory ! , no laughing now .......... it was for slight oil leak ! , always a dodgy time you never know what they might pick up on , 2005 few things getting bit worn and weary ......... the owners the same !
-
As above , you might get nominal movement , but not enough that you’re asking about it !
-
Havnt seen it , can you put a link to it .? Cheers
-
I hope that catches on ! Cracking idea !

Beaters and or Picker Ups wanted - Bucks

Yep you’re spot on , never looked just replied to comment as it came up on new content , -
Wouldn’t have thought so , I’ve found the hatsans to be solid and reliable if it’s not seating when slamming forward I’d say something is a little amiss ,I’d return it to dealer and let them have a look or return to importer , think it’s Edgar bros , if it’s working when you push bolt forward can’t thing much is wrong snagging on something if the slide and bolt assy are clean , oily ? Pop back to your dealer

Very good of you to put it here for the members , well done , brace yourself for the rush ! -
Just got home here , wind been getting highbrow and started raining here half hour ago , quite heavy , no damage as yet , stay safe everyone
-
When you’re loading are you using the bolt release button and letting the bolt slam home , they are designed for this but I know one or two people hold the charging handle and slide it forward thinking it’s kinder for the gun so it doesn’t seat correctly, if not I would pull it down and give it a good clean
